Most of these devices have a option where you have to put your weight and height. Check if you have entered that correctly.

Just to add the Zephyr HRM which works with Run.gps also has a Pedometer inside which also tracks your pace. So along with calories, it also checks your pace and tell u distance travelled. Zephyr HRM is also used by the military to track the soldiers fitness. I think the product is serious and accurate.…

You get "endomondo" and "run.gps" softwares on your iphone. If you visit these software websites they show you a list of HRM's that work with them. Yes the one you strap it across your chest. So now you would have one device that plays music and monitor your HR also. + u can upload these data on their community to log it…

I am a handheld geek. I use Run.gps software and i have a zephyr HRM running on a Andriod Phone. Benifits than the watch ones? Its got bigger screen + you can custom the screen. eg: I use one when i go cycling where only required data is displayed. While when i do indoor training. data llike speed, distance is not shown.…

Do you mean Zumba as in the dance? What phone do you use? eg Andriod or Iphone? Are you looking for a HRM Watch ?

I agree with Sandy. What i would like to add is make a log book. Record everything you eat. after a week review it. youw ould be surprised to see the stuff that can go away from your plate and which without can contribute HUGE to your flat tummy. Same with the workouts. Log and then review. Your life is precious and weekly…

Correct. This is a cheaper way to calculate , if you dont have a HRM or want to visit the doctor. with the 220-age you will always be on the safer side..

Yes, apologies in adding a statement like that. You have to know your body type and then chose whats best for you. You have to build it up slowly. Incase of doubt always consult your doctor... Low Intensity - 60-65% MHR High Intensity - 80-85% MHR Total Calories expended per min. 4.86 6.86 Fat Calories expended per min.…

My age is 31 My MHR comes to 189 If i do 70% of that i get 132.3 ( I'll remember it as 130). So now relax and count your pulse, keep the finger on your wrist like a doctor and looka the clock. I get 65bpm which is my resting heart rate without activity. So plan is to raech 130 and keep it at 130 (70%MHR) for 15-20 min.…

For start youc an use MHR = 220 - Age

I am sure you have your goal defined. If you dont want to win Mr olympia and your goal is to have a beach body then this is for you. HRM is a good investment. You have to workout to make sure your heart rate reaches 70% of your MHR, then try and keep it that way for 20-30 min.(Fat buring Zone). You can remove your HRM when…

I agree with FJ. You can focus on interval training. Or make your own circuit that balances upperbody and lower body exercise. So while you are incinerating fat you are building muscle and getting in shape. Getting your heart rate to 70% max burns fat, anything low and more is not productive.

That is great news. Keep the good work going Megan....

i agree with that last bit. You have to love your body the way it is, if you are not comfortable with it then even if you are a certain % you will still not see it as perfect. its good to challenge your self , but the goal should be fitness. If you can run and stay active throughout with a trim waist size i guess u should…

Iron Man Thanx for your inputs here mate. I was 72kgs with a body fat % of 20% then i became 64 and today i calculated and my body fat % is still 20% So i wonder what did i loose. Yes ihave dropped on my size, like my arms were 14 1/2 and now they are 1 inch smaller. i have started looking smal than before , since i…

Hey guys 10 min trainer. u have to understand the idea first. Its something known as circuit training. You design 4-5 exercise which covers all your body parts. eg pull ups, push ups, deadlift, lunges and snatch Now you do these with medium weight by which you can do 10 reps easily. So you do 1exercise, without rest you…

I have been a active guy. though my life is mostly on a desk, but i play with my dog twice a day and honestly its not just a walk. its light exercise. Then i spend 60 min in the gym. My routine is high impact. I work on one body part a day, along with it i do Bootcamp on one day, then followd by kick boxing, power yoga and…
