No, I actually CAN grasp moderation and it's what I've practiced to get to where I am now. My problem with this thread is those that are saying calorie deficit is all that matters. If your goal is to lose weight, yeah, calorie deficit is all that matters. If your goal is to be healthy, then clean eating is better than junk…

I'll roll my butter in protein powder and throw some multivitamins in there. I'll be good, y'all worry about yourselves.

It doesn't matter what you breathe so long as you breathe under your calorie goal!! I'VE LOST WEIGHT SO SUDDENLY I AM AN EXPERT ON FITNESS AND EVERYTHING SO YOU MUST LISTEN TO ME OR YOU ARE STUPID

Soo... If I am to believe everybody in this thread, I should be able to eat 1500 calories of butter every day and still fit into my sexy pants. Why has nobody told me this sooner?!?! Thank you folks of MFP for this genius insight!!!

Wow..... just... wow.

I've definitely been colder since I've lost the weight as well! Granted, I work in a datacenter so my office is usually cold anyways, but I've definitely noticed a difference.

If you are buying the same model of shoe, you should be fine with just rotating them in to your training runs immediately. I always have two pairs of running shoes whenever I am training 4 - 5x per week, that way the shoe has time to kinda reset itself in between. As for how many miles is "broken in", well, that depends on…

I'm a heavier runner (+200 lbs), but ran my first two half marathons (within a month of eachother) on shoes that had over 500 miles on them without issue. [2:09 and 1:55 were my respective times... in case you were wondering ;-)] As soon as the second half marathon was over, I retired those shoes and switched full-time to…

Polar RS300x. I love it!

I have the 6oz Chobani cups from costco that have fruit inside, so I store 'em in the freezer and treat myself to frozen yogurt whenever I want! Added bonus is that I don't have to deal with the actual yogurt shop AND it's cheaper.....

If it wasn't for the fact that I see dudes doing this on a daily basis at the gym, I would have called you a liar and said "Nobody does that kinda stuff!"

I'm with OP on this one. Don't pee in my cup and call it lemonade, don't put hot wing sauce on cauliflower and call it a hot wing. Call stuff what it is, eat what you want and be responsible. Cheese and rice, is it really that hard? For example, I really want to go out for Pho for lunch this week, but it has a lot of carbs…

As for your heart rate? YES YES YES You should pay attention to it. Obviously you should listen to your body as well, but a HRM will show you exactly what your heart is doing and how hard you are pushing yourself.

I am with ya, except substitute Blue Moon for Pizza... I meant to only have one, but let's just say it didn't work out that way.

Agreed. I think that this topic has been debated/discussed to death and the thread should be closed.

And that's great that you continue to eat food out of a box and continue to lose, I'm not saying that it can't be done; nor am I saying all boxed food is created equal. I didn't make my point too clear, but what I was trying to get at is that 1100 calories of processed food (from a box or not) is NOT equal to 1100 calories…
-
... And stopped eating food that came out of a box. ^_^

I love this thread THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS much!! I am not even going to pile on, I think OP gets the point (hopefully).

I laughed so hard when I read this... wow

I actually just got mine last week and I absolutely love it! Did you get the recipe book with it? I would highly recommend taking a look at that to get some good ideas on creating delicious smoothies. I have a couple favorites right now.... [All recipes below are for the larger cup size] When using these recipes, the cup…
