  • Did W6D3 this morning. 25 mins jogging and 6 mins walking (before & after). No more interval training. I don't know how I did it! Next 2 days will be on a treadmill, since I'm moving across the country, so made sure my hotels had gyms.
  • Did W6D2 this morning. I can't wait till my time / distance gets better. Now I'm just working on being able to run. Next is 25 mins ? OMG....
  • I did W6D1 this morning. My legs were a little sore during the runs...not sure why. maybe because i had an extra day off since Sunday and running. Hopefully it's just passing. I did 20 mins...this should be nothing now!
  • I can't believe it. I just finished W5D3...20 minutes of running and I didn't stop! I was outside and going slow, but still, I did it!
  • Did W5D2 yesterday and added in another minute of jogging. So did 17 mins jogging & 8 mins walking for 2.0 miles. Tomorrow is D3....hopefully I do the full 20 mins running!

  • from what i have heard, it should be the weight before you cook it.
  • best way to get the most accurate numbers is to use an heart rate monitor that will show you associated calories burned. I'm doing a running/walking program also and that's the best way to get the accurate information.
  • I believe if you have an iphone or itouch you can download a feature off of iTunes for $2.00 and then you can use your own music and works in the cues of when to run/walk
  • Did W5D1 this morning and I survived, even though I was sore in my butt and sides/core from my workout yesterday. I've heard that running is 75% mental. You can do it, no matter what you might think you can't do. I'm trying to remember that when D3 rolls around on Sunday... I quit smoking on March 4, just before I started…
  • I'm doing W5D1 tomorrow and freaked out to do it! Actually more freaked for D3! I run on Tues, Fri, Sun and do all my running outside. I love this program...well so far anyways!
  • Morning! Just did W4D3. Added in 2 extra minutes of jogging. Went for 18 mins jog / 7 mins walk for 2.0 miles. I'm okay with 12.5min/mile for now.

  • W4D1 is 2 X 3min intervals of running & 2 X5min intervals of running. I was a little scared with the 5 min runs, but I did ok.

  • Did W4D1 today. It was surprisingly not as hard as I expected it to be. I survived! Next week may be a different story.

  • First, you really shouldn't be eating less than 1200 cals/day. If you are 20-30 below, that's okay, but a substantial amount is not good. Your body may go into starvation mode, thinking it's not getting enough calories, thus it holds onto what you feed it. Especially if you are exercising that much. I would suggest taking…
  • Hey Leigh! Glad you got all signed up and you found me too! I really love this site now that I'm on it for 3 days?!? It's great to not have to think and every food is on here! Talk to you soon! Mel
  • holly! glad you found some classes. i'm from Toronto so we are kinda neighbors. Even though I'm moving to Calgary in about a month. Do you have a Goodlife Fitness near you? Most of them teach Zumba. Once I move I'm getting a membership so I can workout and get in maybe 2 classes a week and don't have to pay any extra as…
  • I absolutely love Zumba! I found it about 4 months ago and it's one thing I look forward to every week and will always do! I'm also just becoming a runner, training to do a 5K end of May. I've lost 30lbs so far and have 25 more to go. Holly, did you check www.zumba.com ? You can search anywhere in North America and you may…
  • I'm new to the site. Been losing weight since August but been slow over the last two months. I've lost 30 and have 25 more to go to goal weight. Tomorrow is Week 3, Day 2 for me. I was surprised that 3 mins went fast. I highly recommend the podcasts ( few diff avail, or ipod/iphone ones) with music and cues to walk or run.…
