  • In regards to marathon runners and cross country runners, I think that these athletes use interval training. I remember our cross country team in high school hated fartlek (interval training) days. I also find that it increases my speed.
  • I drink Peppermint Tea every afternoon. It is refreshing and allows me to be 'consuming' something. Other herbal teas, like Orange ones, work well too.
  • I started doing yoga On Demand, on the sports channel, they have anywhere for 20 min - 50 min sessions that are pretty good. Now I'm going to a studio and taking Yoga basics, as well as some of the 1-2 levels. When I do Vinyasa Yoga, I am dripping sweat! It is a lot of strength and stretch. Good Luck!

  • Bah! Most of the days I go over its because of alcohol! I try to not drink at all, but when I go out I tend to have 3 + glasses of whatever. Hopefully having a majority of good days will make up for the 1 or 2 bad days a week...
  • I"m posting a bit late, but I'm 5'7'' and looking to get down to 123. It's so amazing how different body shapes are! I'm at 130 now and wear a size 29 pant. In fact, I don't think I've ever been a size 4 in my waist! We'll see how hard it is to lose those last 7 lbs are...
