• I don't think you'll have any problems - most supermarkets have a good variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, and most places will have at least one good fruit and veg shop. Most places too will have a good "health food shop" where you can get a wide variety of wholesome ingredients you can't find in supermarkets -…
• Hi I'm Leonie 12wbt forum name is 77noni The link for my Preseason task 1 is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJZqPGeOS54&feature=youtu.be and it contains a video - my first vblog. I would am happy to have lots of pals on here - so if we aren't already friends feel free to send a request. And if I slack off - I'd like a prod…
• Someone on my local facebook group posted these links tonight - from the new cookbook! Corn Fritters http://www.penguin.com.au/products/9780670076376/no-excuses-cookbook/74807/corn-fritters Thai Fish Burgers in Lettuce Cups…
• 12wbt has started! I'm feeling pumped about it. And even better I've made friends on MFP with lots of others who are on the same journey. So if you're doing 12wbt - or have done it in the past - join or group and make some friends who will support you through your journey.…
• 4 sleeps until preseason starts! Join the group and find friends who are also doing 12wbt  Leonie
• Sounds like you're on the right track ravenone777 I suppose avoiding processed food (the type with long lists of ingredients with unpronounceable names) is a good rule of thumb - most of the recipes are made up with fresh vegies and (if you're not vegetarian) meat/fish/chicken. It would also be a good idea to get a herb…
• Hi ravenone777 and welcome :) I'm sure there's quite a few people here who are newbies. Once preseason gets underway on Monday - you'll start to find out everything you need to know. But in the meantime - don't hesitate to ask questions in the forums or in here. Leonie :)
• @ kr3851 - that's a huge change well done! I got a bit of a shock when I first started following the crunchtime cookbook last preseason, as I was using Lite and Easy 1800 calorie plan (and tracking on here - kind of) and starving most of the time. So cutting back to 1200 seemed rather daunting at first. @ aussiejovemum -…
• Any newbie 12wbt members looking for friends? Or even return members? Come and join the group. Leonie (77noni on 12wbt forums)
• Hi Debzzzz I think I know............click on "settings" just under the "12wbt &Mfp Members" towards the top of this page. There is a box to check if you want the mfp ticker to appear on your posts. It will probably be checked ready. Click on save - or update - or whatever the button says. Hope this helps Leonie :)
• Welcome Debzzzz and all the other new members. Yep whether its 5 or 50 it can be tough work - but our consistency will pay off in the end. And that's where I need help - and a not so gentle prod at times  becuase I can be slack about logging in and being accurate about the cals.
• @ Primm I hear what you're saying about the exercise and eating back. I was a WW leader for 9 years - using the point system, and I shudder know to think about how I encouraged people to exercise more so they could eat more. Leonie
• Hi Grace Good on you for finding a good home for the orphan chocolates  And well done on the 12kgs so far! Leonie
• That's right. At first that seemed a bit scary to me  but if you make the right choices its plenty to eat. Basically, 300 per meal and 300 for snacks for the day. Men have more calories. (I think its an extra 300???) And pregnant and breastfeeding women also have more calories. There's a fact sheet for that…
• Went to a Zumba class this morning - so that's 4 Zumba workouts this week.
• Yep - 'm up for a challenge.
• Hi there  Just sent you a friend request. I've only been a member less than a week - and I'm loving it!   I have 170 pounds to discard, so I'm in this for the long haul. I was a WW leader for 9 years and was leading 5 meetings a week - I gave up on WW 5 years ago (complicated story) - and the…
• Done  She needs more votes - so don't hesitate if you're reading this!
• Tonight (Thursday) - Sculpt and Tone DVD Wednesday - Zumba Curves Circuit Tuesday - Zumba Class So, have completed three Zumba workouts this week :glasses: Planning to do a Zumba class on Saturday morning.
• I  Curves! (So I'm biased  ) I agree with Melone see if you can get a trial before you hand over any money. In Australia you pay on a monthly basis - though I think if I cancelled my membership in the first year I would have had to pay a cancellation fee. I highly recommend the Zumba circuits - if that sounds…
• And if you think this is good, you should also try the cauliflower pizza crust..
WHat is your recipe for the pizza crust would love to try it?
I'll second that. Yes please! Think I need that recipe.
• cauliflower mash! And as you've read a potato masher will work just fine. You can experiment with different consistencies. I like it just on it's own - but all the suggetsions above sound yum. I've also followed a recipe with a bit of hummus - yum
• Hi  I've just joined MFP and saw this thread tonight. I'm 6" and currently 155 kgs (342 pounds). Last October I was 166 kgs (366 pounds) and without trying too hard I was 156.5 kgs at the beginning of May 2011 - I hadn't realised myself I had shed those 10kgs/22 pounds until I started tracking on here on the…
• I know - love those muffins, especilly the aroma when they've just been heated.
• Did the Curves Zumba circuit tonight. :glasses:
• Just got home from an hour long Zumba class. I logged it in my exercise diary as the same calories as aerobics general. I don't have a HRM, but it's my birthday at the end of July, so I think one will have to be top of my list. I last weighed and measured at my Curves gym two weeks ago. I was 155.6kgs. Bust 136…
