I too, am lamenting the state of the PB forums. It's unfortunate because the blog is such a great resource, I'd like to be able to talk with people reading the same material. Glad to see another Canadian here too!

247.8 today. So not where I was at the end of last week, but closer. Yesterday was a lot of hydration and walking, hoping I'll have evened out by mid week. Lesson learned, cutting the alcohol out while I want to see results. Now to convince my home brewer husband not to tempt me...

I'm doing primal as well, and am aware of the 80/20 rule. Just discouraging to be exactly where I was on Jan 1 again, like all the work I have done for the last 2 weeks doesn't count anymore. I am now 250 again, goal weight is 150 but I'll take that a bit at a time when I'm under 200, I'd be ok if my body settled a bit…

I'm in the same boat, except an estimated year out from surgery (not an emergency, yet!). I've found that keeping my fat below 20 grams prevents some of the symptoms. I'm doing pretty much the same. My friend was in town for my birthday this weekend and too much gluten has me sore, bloated and uggy feeling. So for the next bit I'm off most grains, trying desperately to reduce sugars and trying to load as much nutrition into my body as possible (smoothies, salads, etc help with this).…

I'm a bride in Early August - I know what's kicking my butt is looking at the pictures. These are pictures that will be around (hopefully) for a good long while and I don't want to look at my pictures and be sad because I was unhealthy.

thank you so much all! I think I may try using a juice-like herbal iced tea (fruity flavour or something similar). I know that such a small amount is not that bad, but according to MFP it's 27 carbs and that is quite a bit considering I'm trying to lower them to under 100.

I have ground turkey tonight too! I generally make a "Mexican Mash" - add onion and 1 tomato in the frying pan, some salsa (organic low sodium) and add cheese (I'm primal). I serve over cauliflower or on occasion real rice. kinda like a burrito without the wrapper.
