Here is a blog post I thought was quite interesting on that topic: http://rawfoodsos.com/2011/05/31/wild-and-ancient-fruit/

^^^ This! Also take off the creepy head and legs, please!

Aside from this, I hope your chicken is from a reliable source. Your free range chicken might still be crammed together in a fetid henhouse (eating poop! lol) I hate the ambiguity of these companies and fda rules. :( http://www.marksdailyapple.com/chicken-labels/#axzz1prni6S3B

How do you get your potassium tested so often? I also like the last link because it lists other foods like meat and their potassium levels.
-
Instead of salads, try just eating the fruits and veg highest in potassium. A simple Google search yields this: This link also suggests goat milk: http://www.mtcapra.com/top-5-fruits-and-vegetables-high-in-potassium/ http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/food-sources-of-potassium.php and this…

I eat bacon and eggs every morning. Go at 'em!
-
Corn tortilla chips! Whenever I suffer from a binge, I always hit up those chips. They are like crack.
-
I don't like the coconut milk options at the grocery stores, they all have some kind of junk added to them, AND are super expensive per can. I bought Native Forest from Amazon and its cheaper and organic.
-
Cocoa powder + stevia to cold coconut milk makes chocolate pudding!
-
Sweet potato or butternut squash chunks in chili is quite tasty!

Apparently your coach never read the ingredients label. Lara bars don't contain brown rice syrup. Only dates, fruits, and nuts. Sometimes chocolate chips.
-
There are Pure Bars, which do have agave and brown rice protein, but other than that are mostly whole fruits and nuts. I might buy them in an emergency. At least they aren't mostly puffed rice, like Kind bars.

Try going without for just a few days to see how you feel. I noticed I had more energy without dairy. Since that is the only difference, I wouldn't have known it unless I eliminated it for awhile.

I advise avoiding fast food places in favor of a grocery store. Get some produce you can eat with your hands, or find the pre-cut section. I also go for the pre-cooked meats with the least amount of crappy ingredients. Yesterday I found some pre-cooked pulled pork with the only ingredients of "pork, salt". Also, sausage…

I stick to sashimi, and bring my own gluten free soy sauce. Vegetarian sushi is not paleo. Imitation crab is made with gluten, and rice is off the table. If you don't like seafood, well, it's going to be hard.
-
I came across a recipe for ****ake Mushroom chips yesterday. Salt and bake in oven until crispy.
-
Very true, but almond butter does satisfy that "roasted fatty nutty spread goodness" craving, so I don't crave peanut butter, *most of the time*.
-
You can go by carb count if you want to. I stay under 100 a day, and that usually allows me 3 fruits/starchy veg in addition to all the low carb veggies I eat. So yesterday I had a quarter ruby red grapefruit, a banana, and blueberries. Another day I had quarter grapefruit, berries, and half a sweet potato.

Wow! "The Fat Trap" is a horrible article. I especially cringed reading the woman's story about how she maintains her 195lb weight. THIS is why I choose to eat primal. I think this journalist perpetuated 50% of the most horrible diet myths. The people in the Australian study were coached to "eat more veg" and "eat less…

We buy so much produce it overflows from the veg drawers into the rest of the space. Also, many containers of half-used produce and meat because when I cook I don't use the whole onion, pepper, zuch, sweet potato, etc.
-
Eat more fat.
-
Also, instead of a spoon, I use a square (or a few) of Lindt 90% dipped in almond butter :D
-
I second the spoon option. I mix with coconut milk and cocoa powder to make a pudding or dip for fruit.
-
A steaming bowl of Bob's steel cut oats. I am going to have one when my 30 days strict paleo is over with to see how my body reacts. When I suffer from a binge I want sugar. I have managed to keep it only to lindt 90% and half a jar of plain almond butter. Small progress!

Couldn't you equate spinning to exhaustion as being your "sprints" once a week?

I grew up hunting deer with my family. I can't stand the taste of ground beef, which is bland and fatty, because of it :) However, if you ever hunted in the Midwest you know deer like to eat/hang out in all the cornfields. So nowadays deer are almost eating the same GM corn that Industrial animals are :( Still, it's…

Yes if you are gluten intolerant. A gluten protein is microscopic.

Can you run out for a quick trip to the store or restaurant? They might lawfully have to let you.

The nice thing about eating Primal is that I noticed that as long as I stuck to eating the right things in the right amounts, I could enter my food AFTER I ate it, and still don't usually go over. I still weigh my food as I prepare it, but only so I can enter it correctly, not to figure out how much I can eat (except for…

My school had an "on the go" shop where you could pick up meal items and use your meal plan for people who have classes during dining hours. See if your school has this too?
