I don't think my FitBit has ever said "Lookin' Good" to me. Or at least I haven't seen that one yet. :brokenheart: The first time it asked me to hold it I cracked up laughing. That was so cute.

Every Friday morning I weigh and track on MFP, along with my measurements. I then feel free to enjoy a few extra treats on the weekend and not feel guilty about it. Weekends in the summer are just flat-out dangerous for me.

@Patty43ck... You would love the FitBit. Worth every penny. Just be prepared for another addiction. =)

I'm almost to the weight on my license now. When I get to goal I will go and renew them and get a new pic. It'll be nice to not have to lie about my weight. Whenever I get a new license and I "fib" about my weight I always expect them to say... "Say WHAT ?!! Get on this scale over here and let's check that weight !!"

Friend request sent. P.S. I looked at your diary for the past few days. Sweetie, you need to eat more. Really. I'm not going to be one to get on you for it as I prefer to be more supportive than preachy, but we need to work on this. Your body really does need fuel and it will get that through nutrients that you feed it.…

I am a former WeightWatcher employee. Every single day I was faced with people who would swear they just could not put down the minimum # of glasses of water each day. Our advice to them was that they count unsweetened, decaf drinks as a substitute, but for no more than half the daily consumption. For MFP's 8 glass…

Sorry, I already picked him. Besides, he's only gay because he hasn't met me yet. LOL !!
-
Geez, I seriously never thought about that. (I'm so straight it's not funny), but I would absolutely do Anderson Cooper -- O.M.G !!!! yes !! -- in a heart beat. He's gay. Does that count ??!!

I feel your frustration. Although mine aren't getting bigger, they just aren't coming down like I hoped they would. I'm losing inches everywhere except my boobs and my calves . ??? I think the large girls make me look bigger all over and I'm tired of it. And running, jumping, etc. with them is a joke - even with a sports…

I agree with MzVonda. I also use a 24 oz insulated cup with a lid and built-in straw. Something about drinking out of the straw and sipping just seems to make it easy to do. And it goes with me in the car every single time I drive somewhere. I'd be careful taking on some of the advice some of the posters here are saying…

I'm definitely a closet MFP-er. I can't even bring myself to post a real pic -- what if someone out there knows me??!! I haven't told a sole that I'm using MFP. Just waiting for them to notice the changes. As of now, people seem to realize that I'm exercising more and I'm getting compliments that I'm looking better/toner…

Add me. I'll be your friend !

Honestly... all those activities do burn calories. Merely breathing and being alive does too. But keep in mind that MFP already takes into account that you are at a certain activity level, so much of the normal day to day activities are already factored in. If you do some serious house cleaning like going up and down a…

I love mine. Wear it constantly, even at night. Being able to see the graphs of your activity throughout the day make it very motivating. I had heard people talk about how it made them become more active and I thought, well, I don't really see how it's going to make me more active if all it does is calculate steps, stairs…

I have eaten six meals a day for many years. In reality it isn't 6 full meals, more like 6 half meals. It works for me because I prefer not to eat until I'm full/stuffed because then I just feel awful and don't want to move. (That is not to say that there aren't days that I definitely do that, but they are usually few and…

I tend to get bored easily with at-home DVD type work outs. I am doing the 30DS but working it in about 3 days a week when I'm not doing zumba. I really like that it's short and to the point. But I am looking to add some additional ab workout to it.

You look awesome already !

I pop up a bag of low fat popcorn at home, put it in a zip Lock baggie (much quieter than the bag it pops in) and I smuggle it in a big purse. And a bottle or two of water stuffed in my pockets or purse. I like the idea posted here about grapes and cheerios too. Maybe some string cheese?

I couldn't agree more. The scale is only one part of the big picture. I'm working on getting Body Fat and BMI to a healthy level and the scale is only part of what is getting me there. Congratulations on your NSV !!!

Have to say... I stopped using MFP's exercise database for that very reason. One day I did heavy gardening (eg, unloading a truck load of mulch, wheelbarrowed it up and down hills, shoveling, etc) In 4 hours the database said I burned 1184 calories - which seemed crazy to me. I just took half of it for that day and got me…

^ thanks Kelzpop for that instruction. That'll help me a lot.

All of the above, but especially for me when I manage to get out of the sports bra (all 10 pounds of it full of sweat) and let the girls breathe ... ahhhh !

Personally, I don't count anything except water. However, a rule that was usable on WW (at least during the time I was on their program) allowed you to count other liquids as long as they were caffeine-free AND sugar-free... but only half of the daily consumption was allowed to be those drinks. So, basically you could have…

I've been taking a zumba class for about 9 months and I absolutely love it. Problem is I can only make it to 2 classes on a good week and only to one class every other week so I got the zumba fitness 2 for wii to give me some more zumba time during the week. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I really enjoy it. I still…

I L.O.V.E Chipotle ! My new dish is a burrito salad - I skip the rice, guac, sour cream, and cheese. Mine has: Lettuce pinto beans chicken tomato salsa 335 calories - and I love every single bite !!

If doing so gives you motivation then it's probably OK to log some of it. Keep in mind that on your MFP settings, you should already have set your daily activity level (sedentary, moderate, etc.) so that level already takes into consideration a certain amount of these activities. Personally, I would only consider logging…

aaaaah, a sensor similar to the wii... now that's making sense. I'm not expecting the thing to be accurate to a fault, but I can see what makes it better than my $20 pedometer. I notice a few people say that it counts standing up/sitting up etc as a step as if that's an inaccurate calculation. I would say that should count…
-
I do have a pedometer now, and it's pretty accurate at counting steps. It's perfect at telling me the time of day too LOL. but if I do say, an hour of zumba, it counts my steps but does not give me an accurate calorie burn. It assumes that I'm taking steps at a regular walking pace, so it calculates a few measley miles…

interesting.... so, if I sit motionless say, watching TV.... will it think I'm sleeping and calculate that as sleep? Do you have an HRM then? I'm still slightly curious about them.
