ncole I'm glad you are in ncole :) RE: rest....adding in one day of rest put your daily caloric burn to 972 per day... remember if you are already at 800+ calories burned per day.. this challenge is going to require you to burn 972 more per day if you eat the foods we all eat during the holidays I wish you luck... :)

bllowry I want to say great job, I can only imagine the struggles you have/are living through. This blog was aimed towards to general "able" public. There are many factors to attribute to getting out of shape that are outside of our control. I feel upwards of 80% of the factors are excuses.

Also doing cardio between 70-90% of your max heart rate will burn muscle.. weight training does not build muscle, it breaks muscle down

Keep working out. Every pound of muscle will burn 50 calories daily at rest. So.. a good goal would be to switch out 10 lbs of fat for muscle.. that's 1 lb of fat burned weekly at rest. Ps 1lb of muscle is about half the size of fat
