I read constantly. Even when relaxing from reading textbooks from classes, I pick up a book. I read science fantasy. Favorite authors are Robert Jordan (Wheel of Time series), Terry Goodkind (Sword of Truth series), and Raymond E. Fiest (Riftwar Saga). There are others, but those are my favorites. I know I'm a guy, but I…

Yeah. When they wrote that I dont think they were talking to people with 200 pounds to lose. I am not being derogatory, I am in the same boat needing to lose 200+ pounds.

Back pain keeps me from doing the things I want. Unfortunately, it also hinders my efforts in losing the weight as far as exercise goes. I am walking further and faster than I used to and I plan on pushing through it till I get there.

You are right. Its usually physical attraction that draws people in...Its afterwards they get to learn the type of person we are.

Mine is a pic of me at or near my lowest weight appox 10 years ago. The collar bone area shows how lean I got. You cant see in the pic, but my arms were defined and vascular during this period in my life. I use it as motivation to get back into shape.

I read something similar in a mens health years ago, but they said 1 inch for every 30 lbs. Either way, its just an estimate.

I never get tired of pizza, I could eat it for every meal as long as it is from different places. Its the thing I miss the most since I cut it out until I can eat it in moderation. Alcohol is also good, at least once in a while.

First name is Dallas. So by instructions I take the third letter "L" to find out my first name as a stripper would be Dallas. I'm getting robbed here.... To finish it off: Second letter of last name "A" and third letter of last name "N" for leather ridge. That makes me Dallas Leatherridge

I can relate. I started out at over 460lbs. Any activity over a couple minutes in duration caused me significant back pain. I started walking, When I started, I honestly had to begin with walking around my trailer a couple times. I added more laps as I built my endurance and eventually started walking around the block and…

Absolutely wonderful results. I admire the effort involved in making such a change.....Did anyone else notice that while the outfit was the same, the camera (phone) is different in every pic

Congratulations. You have done a great job and it shows.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice, but I thought I would let you know that your not the only one in that situation. I'm in pretty much the same boat. I am glad you posted this because I will be looking for any input as well.

I would like to try out the challenge. I have never participated in one before. Looking forward to the motivation.

I was the exact same. I cant say that I'm a vegetable lover now, but i try to get in 4 servings a week...I know that is not a lot (not even the daily recommended), but since I used to none at all, it's an improvement. I started by trying to have one spoonful at one meal once a week, then twice a week. Working up to a…

I know you will get a lot of people who will give the snap answer of don't do it, it's bad for your health, your balls will wither, ect...but used with a little practicality, the risk is small. The main thing is to work from good information. Steroids have taken a big hit from people that abuse them, thinking that if 1…

As long as you log the calories, no problem.

I love it. Wife hates it. I have to watch it at night off the on-demand while she sleeps.

I'm from Northern Lower MIchigan.

My birthday is the day after yours. I don't have a specific goal by my birthday, but would like to be down at least 10-15 more pounds by then.

I'm sure there is more to it than this, but here goes. Guys in general have more muscle mass. It takes much more energy (calories) to maintain muscle mass, which means guys generally burn more calories even when doing nothing, but throwing exercise in really puts the calorie burning in high gear. I'm sure someone with more…

You have to work your way up. Not many jump on and go an hour. Do what you can to start and add a few minutes when what your doing becomes easy. Before you know it, you'll be going 30 to 40 minutes and beyond. Try to do to much to start and you may end up so sore you quit or actually hurt yourself which can set you back in…

As long as your protein is coming from lean sources to keep the fat low, I don't see a problem with it. I've been told it is difficult for the body to store protein as fat.

I agree with sharon. You cant fail if you don't quit. If its to overwhelming to think of the whole day at one time, focus on what you want to in the morning and then focus on the evening. We support you and believe that you can do it.

Most women do not have an issue with becoming bulky from lifting weights. For toning they recommend light weights with higher repetitions. Since I have not lifted in a long time, I will let someone with more experience go into more detail.

Just click the setting button that is located next to "log out". You will get a list of several options. About mid-way down the list is diary options. Click that. Toward the bottom of the screen it has a section where you can make your diary pubic or to share with friends. click on the option you want and then remember to…
