Hi...I had a heart attack nearly 3 years ago. I did cardio rehab, I changed drastically how I ate and got down to a really good and healthy weight. I kept that off completely for over 2 years. In january my weight began inching back on me along with fat...I have gained 15 pounds back. It may not sound like a lot, but you…

I am just now reading your post. I had a heart attack a year and half ago. I met a woman in cardio rehab who was a 35 year old marathon winner. She seemed to be in tip top shape. Then she had a heart attack. Scary...like you, she exercised daily and seemed to be in perfect health. I hope you learned a lot from rehab.

I have grown to love the mini colored peppers. They have a sweet flavor and texture that works for me. Today I had some with 1 tbls of hummus. Tasted good

Yes. anything that is not real sugar that come from beets or cane is NOT sugar. Honey and sugar are the only things I would trust putting in me. The remainder, even stevia now is also mixed with chemicals that our body doesn't register as food

No. I don't. As a parent of a child with Autism, i can tell you that gluten free/casien free foods were a HUGE part in helping him better sense and feel his surroundings. Including helping him to have the sense to feel when he had to urinate and have a BM. HUGE.

thanks for everyone's input. Much appreciated. I was told after I had the heart attack and stent placement that the Dash diet or the Meditterean Diet were the best options. I am supposed to have 6 servings of veggies and 5 servings of fruit per day. Working on getting that much added. Still tricky. I also am supposed to…

it's been only 5 weeks for me since my attack and stent placed. I am working on eating different. Ideas on what works for you for eating the fruits and veggies daily as well as any recipes for meals? that would be great

I had one of my arteries have a stent put in after I experienced a heart attack. I didn't see it coming. I didn't feel bad and my numbers for my BP and cholesterol were good. Plus I walked 12 to 14 thousand steps per day. My artery was 90% blocked. Still seems so serile. Now trying to figure out how to eat differently. Any…

thank you all for your imput, i know i just need to get on track and stay there. What are some of your foods that you eat to help you? Some of the ones that are good in protein and low in fats, sugars and carbs? I have a friend that did this "white diet" where she doesn't eat any white foods...no rice, no potatoes, no…

the old addage, calories in calories out seems to be true. how ever many you take in and how many you burn. for example are you eating too much in calories that your body is staying at the same weight? also muscle. if you are working out regularly, your muscles are building up and all. don't be hard on yourself. there is a…

I tried it a year ago and hated it but i have since restarted with the idea...i will like this. I especially like the blueberry ones. i eat chobani nearly every morning for…
