As I am about to get ready to begin my Shred.... I just keep thinking "JUST DO IT...it is only 20 minutes!!!" Geez...labor with my first child was 24 hours!! This is nothing! ;)

What has worked for me so far is to track calories. Honestly, when you are tracking calories and staying within your calorie goal, you have no choice but to be low on carbs. It also really helped me to figure out what healthy portions are and to really take a good look at what I was eating. Once you have mastered staying…

Thanks for making today's!! I was just logging in to do the same even though I haven't exercised yet. I love the idea, too!! I need to get 2 or 3 pound weights. I have 5 lbs but I am just not ready for them yet either. Can't wait to pop my dvd in and show Jillian that her workout isn't so tough after all! ;)

A Roll Call is a great idea!! It really helps make us accountable. Thanks for thinking of it!! Happy Shredding!!
-
That would totally be the way to do it. Or some people track both the right and left. (there can be a big difference between them) Whatever works best for you!
-
Welcome! We can do this!
-
Just join our group and you are in! You can post your measurements on the weigh in thread in order to track it. Glad you are joining us!
-
Oh! This is good to know! I thought it should be done every day. Thanks for posting this!
-
It really depends on you. I am planning on doing it every day but there are several people who are taking time off between days. You are going to have to pay closer attention to your body than most seeing you just had a baby 6 weeks ago and you are like this Wonder Woman! LOL What an inspiration!
-
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy!! Good for you for being motivated to get back in shape. I know that I wasn't ready at 6 weeks! But your body will let you know if you are pushing it too hard. I am amazed that you are able to fit this in with all of the sleep deprivation. What an accomplishment!

There are a lot of threads on this subject on the message boards. It seems like most people just log the time under Circuit Training. Everyone's body is different so the calories burned will not be the same for everyone. However, it does seem like the range is between 180-220 calories for 20 minutes. Hope this helps!

LOL! ME TOO!! I totally need this!
-
Absolutely join!! Great minds think a like! We would love to combine groups! Here is the link to our group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/6853-jillian-michaels-30-day-shred-start-date-july-8 Mary Beth, I will send you a separate email so I can add you a moderator. I hope so! LOL! I haven't done the 30 day shred before but know many people who have had amazing results. It is tough...but worth it! I am just sticking with my regular diet of 1200 calories and not doing anything special. Not sure what everyone else is doing.

Welcome!! I did the same thing as you. I signed up last November and only logged a day here or there. But then a few months ago, I decided that enough was enough and that it was time to get serious. I love MFP! I truly believe that I wouldn't have lost the 10 lbs that I did without it. Just tracking the food and realizing…

It is so important for you to realize that you deserve to be healthy and fit. The biggest thing that I learned here is that you have to be honest and track everything. It is…
