Essex here <3

First day back at work after Christmas, so walking there and back (a bit over an hour in total) is the most exercise I've done in daaaaays. I'm exhausted. That really isn't good. Takes so long to build up and goes so quickly. I will do better!

Upper body, especially arms and shoulders.

My dad wasn't obese. He had what he called a winter weight and a summer weight though! Apparently when he was much younger he was overweight until joining RAF and then lost it all and kept it off. Mum has always struggled with her weight for as long as i can remember. She lost so much after dad died. I'd estimate at least…

Essex :)

I don't know where you are in the world, but My Protein's vegan blend tastes good although it can often have a gritty texture so you have to use a hand blender rather than a shaker.

If you look at the Forks Over Knives website , Engine 2 and loads of whole food plant based (WFPB) groups on social media you will get a good idea of some meals to try. It's a really healthy way of eating. Most of us eat far too much processed food and not enough fruit and vegetables so it corrects that. It is difficult to…

Good to see other shorties around! I'm 5'1" as well :)

I moved out at 18 and although i didn't need to lose weight i did because all i could afford was wholemeal bread and peanut butter!

I suppose it depends on whether you mean a vegan/plant based diet or a whole food plant based (WFPB) diet. I am vegan but getting closer to WFPB. I've been vegan for years and had no difference in how I felt, but when I eat exclusively WFPB for a few days I do.

Me too :-)

Essex UK...Living the dream.....

I'm vegan and my diary is open to friends (i think) so you can have a look at what i eat. I have loads of cookbooks so if there's a recipe you are after just PM me. Forks over Knives books have good WFPB recipes without oil. I also have Dr Greger's daily dozen app which although hard to hit each day, does make a difference.

My advice would be: Cheese isn't life. Before you know it you will prefer other foods and even if you never find a vegan cheese you like, it doesn't matter. Try all the different plant milks in your tea and coffee and don't compare them to dairy. None taste just like it (although cashew milk comes close) but some will work…

Oh I'm the queen of self sabotage! I'm a firm believer in finding out why we do that so that it's another pitfall you can avoid.

Wondering why I let my OH choose my nail colour and how I now look like an 80s nightmare.

*Embraces thread warmly* I am home :)

Lots of October people, but no one near my birthday :'(

Just stopping by.... as you were :-)

Back from a week of being ill. Missed so much on here! Well done everyone. Taking it slow today and not doing kettlebells. Walking to work will probably cause enough coughing and spluttering to feel like a proper workout...

Back after a week of being ill. Lovely updates from everyone. Those hiking pics are amazing sdereski!Taking it easy today and just walking to work I usually hit my 14k fitbit target but not planning on doing that today, kettlebells can happily wait a few days!

Love seeing all the snow pics. As long as i have no reason to go outside i'm jealous!

I gave up the elliptical because of this. It didn't seem to matter what I did, within 10-15 mins my feet hurt/went numb.
