Most of the time someone who is obese previously suffers from their own demons, normally in the form of Binge Eating Disorder (Now classified as an Eating Disorder in the DSM-5) which has its own physical and psychological manifestations. As someone who has teetered back and forth most of my life as far as control issues…

I had no idea what this "diet" was prior to looking it up. It promises 10 lb weight loss in as little as a week. Honestly the content of the meals does not look like you are doing your body much good http://themilitarydiet.com/military-diet-plan/ and I would say why are you setting arbitrary dates to when you need to be a…

It should be, wearing my HRM I burn more calories strength training than cardio... It is all cardio!

A calorie is never just a calorie. Sure you can loss weight temporarily eating 100 calorie packs versus a 100 calorie banana. The biggest difference is sugar and how your body breaks it down, or doesn't break it down and it turns into fat. Great explanation here:…

I am an offender, 9 times out of 10 it is healthy based recipes and nothing made with processed ingredients. But a decadent cake or other amazingness I am all for, and I don't feel the need to eat the whole thing. Actually I bake every weekend, I have a piece of brownie or a couple cookies and the rest find new homes.

When baking I have been known to eat a handful of Chocolate Chips or some of the batter, I count it..Silly but those add up.

I normally eat some raw almonds and/or banana prior to a work out and then a protein shake post workout.

I tend to eat most of my calories before noon, I have an early day and I am okay with a light dinner, but breakfast has always been a calorie dense meal for me

30 lbs lost at this point puts me at a point I would be happy with, 40 lbs will put me where I should be. I am in, I am always looking for people to inspire and gain inspiration from. ~Crystal

My friend has a saying "You can't put a wrinkle in fat" which many people when they loss weight, it comes from the face quickly and you get more pronounced features and your skin will show wrinkles or aging easier. I looked younger when my face was rounder.

Reading things like this and reminding myself that I need to treat me like I treat others. I would never tell a friend that they were fat or not good enough as I don't see them for their outside appearance, amazing job ! You look great

They like to waste their time on their workout, is my only conclusion

I think toast is not the best option for breakfast. I would go with something that will leave you satiated such as oats, eggs or another protein. Hell even a green smoothie will give your body the proper boost, sometimes it is not about the calories you are taking in but the quality of those calories.

Due to knee issues, I tend to do leg presses and then Romanian Deadlifts.

As my trainer friend always tells me when I am down on myself for not being able to keep a fast pace up a mountain or my workouts are not as hardcore as they use to be, "You have already been there, which means you know you can again" I just hope someday I can get off the cycle and just maintain perfectly.
-
Also I hope you folks going fast are not running at a 0/1% incline, on a treadmill that is equivalent to going downhill.
-
I am not a runner, but a hiker/climber so for me I make my treadmill sessions as close to that as possible. I hate treadmills but in the winter where I need to keep up my cardio for big day hikes I stay around 3.5-4mph but normally between an 8-12 %incline to mimic elevation pitch

I think this is a poor indicator of weight loss, just saying. I am pear shaped, larger thighs and butt, I have always been able to see my collarbone even at my heaviest around 250

I would as it syncs well with my Fitbit

Many of my hikes burn over 1000 calories an hour, that is moving on a 2.5-3 mph rate with minimum 1000 feet elevation gain. But easily burn 2-3k calories on a big day hike
