I tend to disagree. There have been several times I've eaten less before I know I'm going to splurge so I either don't gain or continue to lose. Your calorie deficit is created over time and it's easiest to look at it over a weeks time. So if you're over 500 one day, but under 500 every other day if the week you are still…

First of all congrats on your journey and second of all get outside! That's when it got fun for me, I HATE the treadmill. Honestly thought I think it got fun when I was able to run one mile without it being torcher.

Mine is public because I have nothing to hide. I work my *kitten* off all week to my standards so I can goof off durning the weekend and oh yeah - I have issues with binging and if others can relate and need help I'm here for them. I'm not ashamed of anything I eat and I know that I reached my goals doing it this way and…

Pizza, sandwiches, breakfast burritos, burritos, and pb and bananas!

Wow girl you look pretty good for 160s! Go get um! I also hope to be in the 135 range...I'm not sure I can get there in 7 weeks but I'll sure try.

^That's what I figured, there were just some images of some external transmitter thingy so I wasn't sure.

True, I guess there wouldn't be too much extra. If you google Heart Rate Monitor Apps, there's different apps to use it with and I think there might be another bluetooth chest strap out there. What was a little confusing is I couldn't tell if it the strap communicates directly via bluetooth or if there was a bluetooth…

Neither, unless you're wearing a heart rate monitor there is no real accurate way to measure your burn. Always error on the side of caution and take the lowest estimate.

I recently heard this recommended and I have to say anything that is going to alter your natural form for no good reason just can't be a good thing. If you suck in your stomach you may start to change your stride which could eventually lead to knee problems or who knows what. Add some strength training to your program if…

LOL! Seriously, it takes 72 hours of no food to go into "starvation" mode.
-
Just curious, have you plateau'd? If not, I wouldn't do anything to your goals at this point.
-
If you're happy and it's working for you and you're losing weight, don't stress about it. If you find you're suddenly exercising a lot and starving and not losing weight, well then you can reevaluate.
-
How are you figuring your burn? Are you wearing a heart rate monitor? It is highly unlikely you burned 500+ cals by walking 6 miles, the average person burns 600 running a 10k so walking would be significantly less. That would be why you're not that hungry, you're potentially over estimating your burn. Just a thought.

I've actually tried the snack (carb protien combo variety) and that really didn't work for me. Not too sure why. Possible because I only have room for 100 cals as a snack at that time and that's probably not enough. I think I may be getting more bang for my buck with a 100 cal protien shake vs a 100 cals of food.

Depends. If it comes up, yeah a lot of times I'll fess up. For a couple reasons A) I'm proud of what I've done and B) Maybe it shouldn't but this journey has become part of who I am and defines me. So it will often slip out not point in hiding or denying it. It also helps to make me look more knowledgable if we're…

^Thanks so much!

After a quick glance, I saw a few days of not even hitting 1200...that's not good, even a day at 400 something. The other thing that stuck out like a sore thumb is the lack of veggies in your diet, lack of water and amount of processed foods. If you could add veggies to your day, drink more water and see if you can shave a…

I agree, lose the weight first HOWEVER, as you can see from my stats I didn't and I had a wonderful pregnancy (well as wonderful as a pregnancy can be) and a very healty little boy who is now 3. You are young so you can time, so hang in there :)
-
Could you give us some more info? Your diary is private so can't comment on your cals or food choices. Don't know what or if you are exercising. Kinda hard to offer suggestions with nothing to go by ya know :)
-
I know form is important, but if that's natural to you and you're not experiencing any pain just roll with it.
-
^fair enough, I admitted I only scanned the article so take my opinion for what's it's worth.
-
My lifestyle comment was for those who were telling you that IF was just another "diet".
-
I'll be honest I only scanned it, but sorry everything in MODERATION is ok. I've lost 130 lbs via a all processed foods, some processed food and no process foods and it really didn't make a difference what I was eating as long as my calories out exceeded my calories in. Yes I noticed the ability to increase my cals…
-
Yep that's the concept. Your 1200 is a net goal.
-
I like them a lot, but everyone keeps critizing me that they have too much sugar.
-
You are describing Intermittent Fasting, as I'm sure you know. You're going to get A LOT of people who don't understand this LIFESTYLE, yes it's a lifestyle not necessarily a diet. And the don't understand because they haven't read the research behind. I used to be one of those people who thought it was ridiculous and…

First I did New Rules of Lifting for Women and now I'm doing the Venus Index. Love them both. Don't be afraid to lift heavy.
-
I saw it mentioned in shape or one of those other fitness magazine in those articles they always do about people losing weight.
-
How tall are you? You want to lose 21 more lbs so that would put you at around 112 lbs...maybe you are already skinny?
