Even with hundreds of friends, they still come and go. You can't have too many.

Once I forgot to put on my running shorts and went for a 6-miler in my compression underwear. Trust me, they won't be able to say anything.

^^^ Absolutely this!

You only need supplements if you can't get a healthy level of whatever it is that you are supplementing from a balanced and healthy diet. Blood tests can measure many things like vitamin A, D E etc. Supplements are big business and I recommend only taking things that you need. That said, I take some supplements. Vitamin D…

I have only been running for two years and have never taken a break. - I run races. They keep it exciting. - I run for cause like cancer and heart disease. That makes it meaningful. - I switch up the music, or go without. Gives a change of pace. - I was really sick and my cardiologist says my echo-cardiogram was excellent!…

I was too busy working and spending time with my family to think about my problems. I did log today, ran 3 miles and was glad to have a home and food.

With a schedule like yours, I would would do some body weight exercises. Push ups, crunches, jumping jacks, high knees, squats and lunges. Burpees if you can. You can fit in a short but useful workout right before you shower, or stop after you have run a mile... 10 minutes 3 times a week is good stuff.

There are a number of reasons this can happen. What works is a calorie deficit of 500-1000 per day, some simple strength training and 90 minutes of cardio exercise a week. If you are still not losing, it is probably becaue you are eating to much. In the end, a doctor should be able to help.

-1 Counting calories is not a perfect science. It's a guide, and mileage may vary. -2 What we eat has a huge impact on our LONG TERM health. Most young people cannot accurately predict the effects of years of fats, processed foods and pesticides. -3 Losing weight is a byproduct of getting fit. Although weigh-loss begins…

As usual, I am with Carson. Big increases are not good. That said, here are a couple of things to check out. - Running shoes fitted by a running store where they look at your running mechanics. You can get away with a lot on short runs. - Running posture. If you bend at the waist, you'll get lower back pain. If your feet…

I have had some running injuries. Most of them were from overuse. Some from age, and few from poor conditioning. Here is what I recommend. - Be sure to have running shoes fitted by a running store where they evaluate your running mechanics! - Squats, lunges, high knees, push ups, crunches and planks. If you like, try some…

I go too bed about 9:30-10 and sleep to about 5:30-6. I need an hour to drink coffee, drink 16 oz of water and then go for a run at 7. They last from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Or if my wife summons me.

I eat 3/400 and a couple of snacks. Eating and 800 calorie meal makes i hard to get back on track. But if I do, it prime rib!

I did something wrong?

If it is a circuit with no breaks, it would be about the same as running. The more breaks, the lower the burn.

Portion size is really controlled with cups (8oz) and a food scale. I suggest, 2 cups of fruit and/or veggies at every meal along with 4-5 oz of beef, chicken, pork or fish. Have 2 snacks that are a cup each. That should be your day. If you want to have other stuff, you will find it hard to learn portion control.

1. What made you realize that you wanted to change your diet and/or exercise habits? I had congestive heart failure because I gave up trying so many times before. 2. What made you stick with MFP? I was asked by the doctor and the cardiologist to see a nutritionist and I had to log everything for that. 3. Are you planning…

Fantastic! The same thing happened to me. Most heart disease is preventable! Congrats to your mom!

Whole Foods has a buffet every day! There are some restaurants that have decent meals for take out like Olive Gardens Venetian chicken. (you can order kid's meals at most of them too for smaller portions.) There are some decent low cal meals, but most are loaded with sodium. My favorite is to load up the grill with…

Rock and roll baby. I'm in it for 2 and still trying to lose a little more. But I log it, weigh it, and keep on running. Congrats!

I just sneak in a bottle of water and go after I have eaten.

There is no correct answer to this question because EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. That said, many people are carb sensitive. I will also note that MFP's default carb settings are on the high side. Therefore, you can try increasing your protein intake with lean red meat, fish, poultry, nuts, beans, legumes, and low-fat dairy such…

Stupid parents, stupid name. What's going to happen if someone has a magnet in the room? The kids is going to grow up confused.

I think obese people should force themselves to be on MFP.
