I had a Polar that synched with the gym machines. I have a Garmin that syncs with my run watch and my favorite is the Wahoo that syncs with Endomondo and a number of other app on iPhone and Android.

Losing the last 10 has been elusive. I have been trying for 2 years. I lost 60 no problem and then bam, it stopped.

3 year veteran of MFP. Feel free to add me.

I am into this over 3 years. I lost over 70 and was doing quite well. Then I stopped logging, then had cancer surgery and BAM I put on about 12 pounds in a manner of months. I am back at it, but it is not easy. You need to change your life, and keep doing it.

I use the ONE. I also bought a Fitbit scale. I like the automatic sync up for both. The sleep tracker is nothing special, but it does encourage you to get moving and hit 10,000 steps a day. I do most of mine at work, but it counts. There is not gadget that can make you lose weight, but it is a worthwhile addition of you…

A lot. This is a lifestyle that you want to maintain for life. Cheat days just invite you back to the old you.

What's bad for you is sitting on the couch eating.

I set my calorie goal for the amount of calories I need to maintain the weight I WANT to be at. I run 6 days a week, but recently had surgery and could not do much of anything for 3 weeks. Lifestyles change.

It took me a year to finally run a 5K. I took another year to run a 1/2 marathon, and now I have run 2 full marathons. I was a smoker, obese and hadn't run anywhere in 40 years. You can do it if you stick with it. Set your schedule in a calendar and get going.

If I run in the morning, I just have 2 cups of coffee, 2 cups of water, use the bathroom and head out. If it's a little later in the day, I eat a banana or a mini bagel with a some peanut butter.

It's interesting, life insurance in Massachusetts had to be the same price for both men and woman because it was seen as discriminatory to give a woman a cheaper policy even though they lived longer. If that is a precedent, it's discrimination. But I am taking my $600 a year savings for being healthy and the $400 rebate…

Just do intervals of walking and running slow. C25K is a good program. Most people run too fast and that is what makes it hard. I would also make sure you have good running shoes fitted at a running store. Make sure you are doing some basic leg strength such as squats and lunge, high knees and may as well throw in some…

I use a Fitbit one since August. Not sure that I wanted a bracelet. It clips on just about any clothing.

The secret to remaining injury free are as follows: - Build up slowly. If an 18 week plan seems like too much, it just might be. Take 36 or 42 or even 52 weeks. - Consistent training whether it is 3, 4. 5 or 6 days a week. Base runes, long runs and tempo runs all have different purposes. - Age matters. Easier for younger…

Oh thank you!

Sidewalks are dangerous and often have changing heights, curb cuts and debris. I have had to falls running, one on a curb cut, and the other on ice. I run facing traffic and I am well lit, reflective and brightly colored.

Love the shorts.

Good question?
