A Question About Sweating
Ladies, tell me how come running sweat is not as sexy as mowing the lawn sweat? It feels the same to me.

2 Years Changed My Life
I started out sick, really sick spending a week in ICU and then kept pushing until I could run. I am still running, still logging and feel better than I have - maybe better than I ever have. More of the story on my blog. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/dsjohndrow/view/what-the-heck-is-wrong-with-me-554394

Change the Water Consumption Ticker...
Who thinks they should change the Water Consumption ticker to a Coffee Consumption ticker on the food page? Maybe add a dropdown list for weak, regular, strong and hardly pours too.

Your Running History
It took me a year to complete C25K. I was 53-years-old. Since then, I have run about a dozen 5Ks, 4 10Ks and a 1/2 marathon. I have had some good advice from a couple of runners on here. I was never a runner before - doubt I ever did more than a mile at any one time. I have no idea what I can achieve given my age and…

How Come the Scale Hates You?
I get really sick of the same old topics cycling through. I thought it would be great to do survey to see what is working for you (or not.) So just fill in the facts below and let's see where it goes. No opinions needed. Weight: 208 Calories Per Day: 1300 Days/Amount/Type of Exercise per Week: 5 days running/2 strength…

Why the Gym and I Are Breaking Up
Attire: I suggest posting a picture of your gym attire on Facebook before actually going to the gym. You might get some constructive feedback. Just one of a few reasons in this blog. :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/dsjohndrow/view/why-the-gym-and-i-are-breaking-up-523686

What did it take to get you running?
I am always interested in what motivates people to run; especially those of us that used to be big enough to have our own zip code. My 9-y-o ran a 2-miler this weekend because they had medals and cupcakes. (She never even got a cupcake.) Me, I just like running better than everything else except playing hockey and riding…

Running music...
I run a lot and music really helps me keep pace. In fact on a 12 mile run, my splits are within 20 seconds of each other. I am looking for some new tunes. I like pretty much everything but screamo and rap. I prefer classic rock, hard rock, some metal, Christian rock, upbeat country and even some pop or blues. I need a play…

Marathon Bound - Training Approach?
I decided that I am going to run one marathon before I die. I have a dozen 5Ks, a half dozen 10Ks and a 1/2 marathon completed. The one that I would like to do is 27 weeks away. I have 3 1/2 Marathons scheduled between now and then which gives me 24 training weeks and probably 22 if I take some time off after the bigger…

The Last 20, How Did You Do It?
The scale has gone down again, yay! But I have gained and lost the same 7 or 8 pounds for about a year. The doc still wants me in wonderland, and I would like to be there too. I run 100 miles a month, I cross-train 1 day a week and lift 2 days, log everything and well, I need to get this done. What do I have to do!?!?!

Question for Runners
I have been running seriously for almost a year. In that time I have read a lot and maybe learned a lot too. I train 3 days a week. 4 - WT - 6 - WT - R - 12+ - CT (I used to do 6, but I am running much longer distances now getting ready for a half marathon). I have what I call easy run days for my long run (10 min. miles),…

1/2 Marathon NSV
I took me a year to complete C25K, and I finished by running my first 5K race last March. On the Feb. 24th I am running my first 1/2 marathon race. Yesterday I went out for a practice run and I made it! Not bad for a guy that was in ICU less than 2 years ago. You can read the details…

Runners - How Much?
I am not new to running, but I am still growing into longer distances. Last year was the year for 5K and 10K races. This year I have already scheduled my first 1/2 marathon for the end of the month. I am confident I will finish. I train 6 days a week:: M - 2 miles/weights T - 4 miles W - 2 miles/weights TR - 6+ Miles F -…

A Man and His Wife Go Grocery Shopping
A husband and wife are shopping in their local supermarket. The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart. "What do you think you're doing?" asks the wife. "They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans" he replies. "Put them back, we can't afford them" demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping. A few…

The Truth About Water

B210K App for Andorid - Are You Using It?
I searched the forums and all the B210K info is outdated. Is anyone using the BlueFin app for Android? What is the user experience? Does it specifically prompted you and allow you to use a playlist from your phone? The app I am using now only reports your speed/time every .3 of a mile. I would like one that is time based…
