Mine always gets screwed up when I start a new work out or if I loose a lot of weight in a short period of time... it's just from the stress on your body.

I've always been told you have to do Cardio as well as sit-ups, crunches, and other core exercises. There is no way to only target your stomach though.

My calorie goal is set at 1200 as well and I always go over in my protein too. As long as your balancing out what you eat, you should be fine.
