Hi! I also eat lots of fruit, in fact most of my sugar intake comes from fruit. Usually in a day I will have 3 - 5 portions. I know that weight watchers recommend that you should only eat 2 -3 portions a day, so I would also be interested to hear what others have to say on the subject!

http://fitnesswithnatalie.blogspot.com/2011/05/most-dreaded-word-in-weight-loss.html I have just been reading this post - maybe it could help you to answer your question?? Keep up the good work - your daily walk will definitely be doing you good. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

You know - this sounds like a plan!! I am a mum of 2 extremely energetic boys 12yrs and 9yrs - it is coming up to the long summer school holidays and I would love to enjoy the beach with them, rather than just sit in my deck chair!! I am definitely in!!

You look utterly amazing. Well done and thank you for posting your pictures. The skin thing is a worry - but you are right, I would rather be thin with extra skin than fat and filling that skin!! Keep up your good work (not that you look like you need to lose any more!!) and you will get to your ultimate goal.…

I think with a gradual loss, our nearest and dearest are so used to seeing us that a stone (14lbs) or so will not really be noticeable. I think clothes do "feel" the same - but really, we forget quite quickly that those same clothes were a little (or a lot) snug before we started to lose the weight, so when your usual…

I too enjoyed alcohol (in small amounts) most days - however, I have been just having water for the last few weeks, since I started with MFP. On Thursday night, after a particularly tough work day, I decided to have some wine. Just two glasses... large glasses mind, so that is about half a bottle. Well - that lead to the…

That is such a joyous NSV - well done to you for all of your hard work. :flowerforyou:

Welcome to MFP!! You have made the right choice to help you find the person you want to be!!!

Some people seem to eat all their exersize calories and some people don't even log their exercise!! I guess - eat a little more than you would have if you are still hungry, don't eat more if you are not still hungry!!

I love it!! I can't wait to be in a similar position, there are piles of "just in case" clothes folded ever-so-neatly on the top shelf in my wardrobe (and being only just 5ft I can't reach up there without assistance) - maybe I too will slip with ease into them one day in the not so distant future!! There is one pair of…

Have you thought about the fact that as you are up at 5:30 that your body actually needs lunch at 10:30 to 11:00!! You should be guided by your hunger to judge when to eat, not by the time on the clock!!! Amazing workout ethic you have btw -very impressive!!

Welcome!! You have definitely come to the right place if you want friendly advice and support!! :flowerforyou:

Try comparing the old pants with your new ones - I bet you will find that they are actually way smaller. It really annoys me that there is no real standard to sizing and that all shops seem to do their own thing!!! You have done fabulously losing 30lbs. Cut the label out of the new pants - the size is only a…

On the contrary - it is a great start!! Try picking up something that weighs 4lb and carry it upstairs then back down!! Well done. :flowerforyou:

Looks a bit like my wobbly bits - the 20lb-er that is!!

I buy plain cous cous and then add spices or veggies to it. Put the cous cous in a shallow dish that you have a lid for. Pour over boiling water so that there is about a quarter inch just over the top, maybe not even that much water. Immediately put the lid on and let the hot water soak in. When all the water is absorbed…

If it ain't broke - don't fix it!! If you hit a plateaux then definitely look to making some changes, but until then just enjoy what you are doing. :flowerforyou:

What is a 30 day shred??!!
-
Yeah - my 50gr looked so meagre, I had been looking forward to them all day though so they were yummy!! You are right though - I would have eaten 5 x as much 2 weeks ago and thought nothing of it!!!

I read an article once about slimming and listening to your body. It stated that you should only eat if you are physically hungry and explained how as kids we only came home for food from playing out with friends when we had to eat like NOW. Maybe you should try to listen to your body?? Keep up your fluids though!…

I agree with the full fat drinks, can't touch 'em. Also full fat milk (a throw-back to years as a Weight Watcher), crisps, anything in pastry (instant indigestion), sausages (uuugghhhh!!) and sugar coated cereals... Despite this, I am an absolute sucker for a party sized sausage roll - they have been my undoing many a…

How lovely!! You have really made me smile with this one - well done you!!:flowerforyou:

You need to remember that life happens sometimes - you are only just at the beginning of your MFP quest and you need to cut yourself some slack!! I suggest that you go and pick up a 2lb bag of apples at the supermarket and appreciate how much you have actually lost! Put your poorly tooth behind you, get back on track with…

Hi, just my opinion, obviously, but with sodium is not so good - you will then potentially start to retail water as you would with excess salt. Maybe you could try addiing just a little sugar free concentrate juice (orange, blackcurrant) to plain water?
