That is how I eat most salads. LOL And luckily Sara Lee makes lower sodium deli meats, turkey, chicken, ham, and roast beef. They're pretty good. My favorite thing on my salads is sunflower seeds, they're so full of fat and calories, but so tasty!

Thanks! I appreciate the tofu suggestion, but I really can't do tofu. I'm one of those who if I know it's in something I just can't bring myself to eat it. LOL

Sounds great!!! Thank you. I'm not really good at cooking, so that's why I've been doing a lot of salads lately, LOL. But this sounds like something I can do. =)

For me this past week it's been: Sugar free chocolate pudding or Hood Carb Countdown chocolate milk (YUM) I know this will be even More important to me in a week....

My favorite shakes are the Muscle Milk Light shakes. They have no sugar added and are 100 calories for 8 oz and 15 grams of protein. I prefer pre-mixed shakes, they're more expensive, but they rarely taste chalky/gritty to me. I drink at least 1 or 2 shakes a day anyways, first thing in the morning and at bedtime with my…

My gym has Zumba and I hear that class is PACKED! I'd like to try it but I'm a little intimidated by the crowds when I'm so uncoordinated! :blushing: A friend's daughter is in a competition dance group and her dance instructor also teaches Zumba classes in her studio on Friday nights. I might got there (it's smaller with…

Yep! That's awesome! Reminded me of a frosty. I want to get the plain or vanilla greek yogurt and mix it with sugar free hersheys syrup to cut some of the carbs.

Count me in! =)

I love cottage cheese, just wish it wasn't so full of sodium. :( Y'all made me wanna go grab a hard-boiled egg. They're great to keep on hand! =)

Thanks for the explanation. =)

I'm at 1200 calories to lose 2 lbs a week. Of course it goes up if I exercise. My goal is to exercise for an hour 5 days a week. I'm so confused, though.... why do some folks have such high calorie amounts?? Are y'all living in the gym or something?? Seriously, I don't get it. But it's ok, I'll just assume MFP knows…

I really needed to read that today!! I have been so exhausted since starting to work out regularly about 3 weeks ago (with a trainer who is kicking my butt, LOL) that when I get home from the gym, I have nothing left in me. Not even energy to cook or clean the dishes if DH is so kind as to cook for us. I'm hoping the…

Thanks everybody!! We didn't go last night but will probably go tonight. I'll probably get a guacamole salad with some chicken fajita meat on top of it. The guac has lots of flavor and the fat is healthy fat from avocados. So yummy.... either that or the fish tacos without the tortillas (basically the grilled tilapia) with…

My weigh-in day is already Mondays, can I still play??? I've never been anything close to a Barbie before.

Congrats on your accomplishments!! Sounds like you're doing great! Also, if you're exercising, make sure you're feeding your muscles protein. =)

I used to be a high school Spanish teacher and my last name is Rice... therefore, Sra Arroz. is Mrs. Rice in Spanish =)

Count me in!! =)

That was great! Thanks for sharing! =)

This place is addictive. I just joined on Sunday but when I logged my foods for Sunday and saw what I actually ate, it made me want to make much better choices on Monday and again today. Welcome and good luck! =)

Great question... I thought the weight loss would be a result of consuming fewer calories and burning more. So, when I burn 700 calories at the gym, I certainly don't want to come home and eat an extra 700... I must be over-thinking it at this point?

OMG, I'd have died right there! Glad you survived and got in some extra cardio.

Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me. =) A friend texted me last night and stated that she was given a HRM for a gift and that she has never used hers. She offered it to me, so I figured I'd give it a shot (it's free, LOL) but if that one isn't what I'm really looking for, I'm…

This sounds like a great challenge! I don't have HRM yet, but am researching them. My trainer just recommended I get one today at the gym. I keep looking at the Polar F6 (because it's pink, I can't lie) but am wondering, do I need a chest strap for it to be better or will the watch work ok? I'm so clueless. I looked on the…

I'm so bummed I missed this last night. I don't have kids, but I think the show sounds fascinating. I just set the TIVO to record it on Friday in case I forget about it again! Thanks for the reminder. =)
-
I'm looking at the sites and some don't look like watches... is there a difference? Is one better than the other?
-
I will definitely have to remember this! My trainer has me do a 5 min warmup and then I work on various weight machines targeting a particular area of my body, then she had me go back to the treadmill or eliptical for 15 mins of cardio, then different machines, then back to the treadmill/eliptical for another 30 mins at…

I LOVE greek yogurt! I've also noticed a lot more companies hopping on the bandwagon and making it. Oikos makes one with chocolate in the bottom. It's good, but has too much sugar in it for me. It satisfies my sweet cravings with protein though and is better for me than pudding. I'm considering getting the plain and adding…

Thanks, Hepkitty! =)

Sometimes I make mini-quiches (without crust) using eggs, cheese, and turkey sausage. Cook the sausage, then mix it with the eggs and cheese. Pour in a muffin pan and you have 12 of them. They even freeze well if you need them in a hurry. I don't really measure, but will start so I can log my calories in here (I'm new to…

When you realize you have collarbones and they can be seen and not buried under a huge amount of fat! That was it for me.
