  • I've never heard of PB2.... where do you find it?

  • My doctor suggests 30 mins before and 1 hour afterwards... but I never do the 30 mins before thing. Sometimes I forget and drink before the hour is up afterwards. For the one who asked why.... the point of the lap band is to eat a smaller amount of food and feel satisfied for longer. If we drink with our meals or right…
  • I don't have any and have always been a little apprehensive. Recently I decided I want a butterfly... for the same reason as mentioned above. I just don't know where to put it so it's discreet when I want to dress up and where I can show it off when I want to. It also doesn't help that my hubby doesn't like tats... :(
  • Thank you for sharing your journey with us. What an inspiration you are to many. Congratulations on all of the hard work you've done to get to where you are! Keep up the good work, you're awesome!
  • I looked at the site to possibly order the dvd's b/c I love my classes and sometimes zumba is what I want to do, but the workouts are to the latin music. My classes are the same moves but done to current hip-hop music. Have you all seen any dvds that are to the hip-hop music??
  • I allow myself half of a Hershey's Special Dark bar... it's 90 calories and really good. (I'm a milk chocolate fan too... but am trying to behave)
  • When I started my journey I was at just under 300lbs and very sedentary as well. I would like to encourage you to keep up the good attitude and the desire to improve. I'm proud of you. I think the Leslie Sansone walking dvds would be good as well. Also, if you don't want to invest in those, chose your favorite tv show, and…
  • That cracked my *kitten* up! Thanks for making me laugh!!
  • You've done so well! Don't let a little tag get to ya... rip the sucker out and keep moving! You've made so much progress, be proud of yourself. I am certainly proud of you. :flowerforyou:
  • I eat some fruit daily. My dad is diabetic and I'm pre-diabetic, we've been told by our nutritionists, to eat fruit with a meal so it doesn't cause a spike in blood sugar as it is being digested with other foods. Hope this helps.
  • Hi everybody! My main goal was to be at 199 by July 4th. As of this morning, the scale read 214. I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it unless I really go cold-turkey cutting out the sweets. I'm such a chocoholic that it's killing me. I have switched to dark chocolate, but I find I'm wanting some type of chocolate…
  • Thanks for the tips!! I'm gonna have to try that... How do I yo-yo when I'm on a 1200 cal/day program? I didn't think I could go under without going into "starvation mode"?

  • I've increased my calories burned each week. I think it's because I'm starting to learn the moves and am actually doing more of them. LOL Keep it up, you'll get it. I really wanted to do zumba today but there's no class.... I want a 24 hour zumba studio to go to whenever I want.
  • I love mine and wear it everytime I exercise. Just today I was on the eliptical and while the machine told me I burned over 400 calories, my HRM said 300. While I like the number on the eliptical better, it does make a huge difference when actually counting my calories to try to lose weight.
  • What do you mean yo-yoing food and exercise?? Enlighten me, please!

  • Yay! I'm so happy for you! Please continue to share your successes with us. They are very inspiring and motivating to us all. You've worked hard and should be doing the happy dance right now! Congratulations on making your dream come true! :flowerforyou:
  • I did zumba tonight and I absolutely LOVE It!! My HRM said that I'd burned 555 calories. So that's pretty cool! Keep dancing, girls!
  • I'll check out those links, and will definitely have to make sure my shoes aren't too tight! Thanks y'all!
  • Thanks Lisa!
  • I've had PCOS for the past 7 years or so. I take Metformin and have also had a hard time losing the weight. It is very frustrating. The insulin resisitance is horrible and it doesn't help that I have a horrible sweet tooth. :embarassed: Best of luck to you!! It can be done, but it does take longer to lose the weight.
  • Yay!!! Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you! :flowerforyou:

  • I grew up eating mayo on saltine crackers.... haven't done it in a long time, but that was a wierd food of mine. LOL Now my coworkers think my wierd food is cottage cheese... but I love it. Just plain or with fruit or just pepper in it. Yum!
  • The first time I hopped on one, about a month and a half ago, I could only do 3 minutes. On Monday night, I did 25 mins straight. I was psyched! I workout at the gym, so I don't use the eliptical everytime, but I'm proud of the progress I've made. I haven't even added in the arms yet... just legs. We'll get there... like…
  • I thought I was burning more than my HRM is indicating, but that's ok.... I just gotta keep working my hiney off (literally) and I'll get there. =) Thanks for sharing the site!
  • Silly Question here.... what kind of shoes are best? I wear my regular sneakers that I'd wear on the treadmill, but they don't exactly "slide"... that much. Are there specific shoes for classes like Zumba or dancing?
  • I have the same problem, I'm going to try putting an audiobook on my mp3 player and see if that helps. I do often switch machines. Sometimes I go from eliptical, to the treadmill, to the bike, and back again.... But, I just started taking Zumba class at my gym and I love it. Time FLIES by when I'm shaking my thang, even if…
  • I think I'm a Zumba addict now! LOL I've gone to 2 classes at my gym and that's all I wanna do now. I'm going tonight too... Friday evening at the gym... what has happened to me? :noway:
  • I know this won't help you for this instance, but it may be a good resource for you in the future.... http://www.dwlz.com/restaurants.html
  • Chocolate!! Any and all chocolate!! I actually crave it. So sad, yet, so true.
