My arthritis is really acting up. Tomorrow may be a low step day. :ohwell:

It estimates calorie burn for the entire day. I use it to get a read out on my TDEE every day. That gives me a better handle on how much to eat every day. It also tells you that YOU ROCK frequently. Positive reinforcement!

Not done for the day but since I already hit 10,000 and only planning a few hundred more steps before bed I'm just going to log it now and eat those extra steps!

Donate a kidney... That's like, a quarter pound, right there! Plus you are really helping someone out a lot! :flowerforyou:

Where did you get this counter?

I've posted this a few times but it's worth posting again. It's a pedometer for kids and the more active they are the more points they earn. They can use the points to get cool prizes! I think they are $30, worth it in my opinion! Good luck, and send lots of love to your little one, I know how tough it can be!…

I woke up at 4 this morning and had breakfast at 6. Just like I do every day. I lose weight just fine!

Thank you! Yes, venting does help! That day was particularly grueling for me! I will look into the turmeric to help!

Take before pictures now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I take pics every month and for awhile I could not see the difference but now to look at October vs. April it's crazy! Also, why not make friends with other people who need work out buddies?

Eating at TDEE - 20% for 2 months lost 12 pounds... Eating between 1700 and 2100 calories a day! I was going crazy with net totals and all that junk (one day I netted 200, it was awful!) I like knowing that I can eat a set amount and that is fine. I also have a fitbit so if that gives me more calories I try to eat them…

Agreed! It IS "really friggin weird"!!!!

Just for reference I am 5'5" and I was 230 pounds in April 2011 at the time I was a loose 20 and comfortable in an size 18. Now, at 183 I am in a size 12 / 14.

Does anyone else need to buy a bunch of bananas now so they can do this? Also, as someone who suffered from Hypokalemia (too low potassium) and seized, heart stopped and not breathing for 3 mins while CPR was administered, I can tell you it's no way to go! Eat your bananas, don't just play with them!

Defiantly check the vit D but also ask for a referral to a rheumatologist.

I got to -40 before anyone noticed... Basically I was wearing tents all summer since nothing fit me, went to my twin goddaughters birthday party in a new shirt that fit me (It was a purple and blue party so I needed an appropriately colored shirt) and everyone finally noticed! I had gone from a size 20 down to a size 14 at…

You should email and ask if they will replace it, they are good about doing so. Perhaps you could gift it if it's too late to return the one you bought.

Fitbit works great at giving you an estimation of your activity level and TDEE. I adore mine because of that! Before I got it I was struggling to lose weight and now I just eat 500 calories less than fitbit says I burned and I have lost 11 pounds in 9 weeks! It's working marvelously!

Take a dance class, take your kids (or someone else's, like I do) to the zoo or on a nature walk, get a hula hoop, give a five year old sidewalk chalk and ask them to make the craziest hopscotch you have ever seen and then play it! I don't think about exercise as a workout, I think of it as playing. If I'm not enjoying it…

I don't log workouts I have a fitbit linked to MFP and use that to estimate TDEE for the day.

1) 10 class pass to the gym where I do Zumba 2) Gift certificate to Bob's to get new sneakers 3) Gift certificates to clothing stores since I'm not going to fit in the things I'm wearing now much longer 4) A pull up bar, so I can say I can!

I  Zumba! -45 pounds from doing Zumba. I started with the Wii game and then went to a live class and now do 2 classes a week plus work out at home an hour a day. I have downloaded the songs my instructor uses and I memorized the choreography so that I can do it at home. I push harder, move faster, jump higher and…

Congratulations!!! That is amazing!

I think I read this 5 times before it sunk in and it didn't really click until I had been actively doing it for 2 weeks. You include the exercise you do into the TDEE, so no more saying you are sedentary! You don't log exercises daily any longer either. I think 1600 is your sedentary numbers but if you work out 3 times a…
