  • I have several Beach Body programs - including ChaLean Extreme - love it!!! I have never had trouble with telemarkers, pressure to add extras, etc. I order online and don't have problems. Their customer service is excellent...very helpful if there are any problems...and they offer the 30/60/90 day money back guarantee…
  • A HRM is the best way to accurately track calories burned...but sometimes I just don't feel like wearing it! Try the site I listed below and see if that helps. It has specific Insanity work outs and you enter your weight, so it seems like it would be fairly accurate.…
  • Do some self talk....ask yourself "Am I really hungry? do I feel a knawing in my stomach? or am I just feeling like snacking?" When I do this and answer myself truthfully...it helps best of luck!
  • I have the same problem with sugars from fruit....so I decided to keep an eye on sugars other than fruit....fresh fruit, or frozen with no sugar added is natural, so its not the bad sugars - processed. I'm like you...I could not so without my breakfast smoothie!!! best of luck
  • I've had really good results...more toned, more endurance, etc...I think eating healthy and staying within your calorie goal is key.
  • I would encourage you to go ahead with the second month...you'll see results...sounds like you are doing everything right (maybe you need some more healthy cals?) so stay with it and your body will reward you. I'm on the same week (Recovery) so if you want to message me and do this together, I'm glad to have an INSANITY…
  • Good info....thanks!
  • Congrats on your fitness journey so far!!! 5 1/2 years ago i started my fitness journey....I started with Beach Body 10 Miute Trainer....10 minutes a day! As you get stronger you can "stack" the 10 minute programs, but to begin with its 10 minutes. It is a great work out to start out. The great thing about Beach Body is…
  • Can anyone tell me the amount of time each program takes daily? I looked online and didn't see that info anywhere. How would you compare this to P90X? I've done P90X several times and liked it, but also like to add variety to my work outs. thanks!
  • Sounds like you are doing an awesome job! Is the Black Bean lasagna posted on MFP anywhere...I would love the recipe!!!
  • Congrats on almost reaching your goal weight! keep pushing yourself a little bit more each week...either with intensity or more reps. I noticed more toning happening when I was cleaner in my eating...as they say, "Abs are made in the kitchen!"
  • I'm in my 3rd week of Insanity...I also have a love/hate relationship!!! I am getting good results...I think partly because of the intensity of Insanity and partyly because I am being really careful about what I am eating. Asylum is great too! I try to alternate a more intense work out for 60 days with a milder one for the…
  • I understand your feeling of not wanting to take a rest day...but early on in my fitness journey I decided that if the experts that put together the programs I am using say to take a rest day, then they know what they are talking about and I should follow it. Rest day should be a time to let your muscles REST. I think it…
  • I have done BBL....for me it was an excellent supplement. Depending on your fitness level, you might not find it challenging enough alone. The GREAT thing about beachbody programs is you get a 30 day (sometimes more) money back guarantee...so if you don't like it, send it back for a full refund. I've done that with a…
  • I think there is a possiblity that you will get a lot of opinions here...some good, some bad, some offensive. I would strongly suggest talking to a trainer, nutritionist, or dietician....someone who has some professional training. They will help you ease back into a healthy caloric intake whilst losing weight/exercsing.…
  • "If you can find a way to balance it with other foods such that you hit yoru calorie/macro goals for the day, you can eat whatever you want. If you can't control yourself, then ice chips are about your only good option." I agree with the statement above....if you get used to munching on something all the time, its easy to…
  • LOTS of stretching will help loosen up your back. I pulled a muscle in my back two years ago and still have trouble with it tightening up...but if I really really really stretch consistantly, it feels better and I am more mobile. Insanity is really tough...so you might want to do extra stretching before starting the dvd…
  • I've been doing Les Mills Combat for 2 weeks...just haven't checked in every day :( Today I did Upper Body Blowout and Core
  • thanks for the replies so far. I have a hard time with low blood sugar, so that is why I concentrate on protein to try and keep it leveled out. If I were lean and not flabby around the middle, I really wouldn't be concerned about the weight...trying to lean out and lose the flab around the middle!
  • depends on which dvd you use....average is 45 - 60 min. I hope you like it...I actually like it better than Insanity...not as hard on the knees/joints. good luck!
  • I started with Ten Minute Trainer (and don't let the name decieve you into thinking it isn't an intense workout!) Moved on to Chalean Extreme, Insanity, Asylum, P90X, Turbo Fire and now doing Combat. I really have loved them all...its so nice to have programs that you can trust in and that gives a great amount of variety!…
  • Les Mills Combat -- PLYO and Inner Warrior Stretch and Strength Does anyone know how the calorie burn for Les Mills compares with P90X?????? I haven't been wearing my HRM, so I'm just estimating. thanks!
  • Even professionals don't always look forward to their work outs :) Commit to doing them a certain number of times per week and stick with it ...make it part of your life...like brushing your teeth!! Find exercise programs you love AND VARIETY is the key! work out a schedule and switch it up...so that if you are doing…
  • I'm 54 and have done Insanity several times. Sometimes staying with the programs schedule and sometimes doing a hybrid with TurboFire, P90X or Asylum. It is an intense program...but with Beach Body's money back guarentee you've got nothing to lose!! (I've also returned things to Beach Body and been completely satisfied…
  • Les Mills Combat 30 + Core/20 min
  • this is a great thread...I love seeing what other Beach Body people are doing :) today i did Les Mills Combat HIIT and Inner Warrior (Stretch and Strength). I've just started Combat 2 days ago and so far loving it! Its different than anything else I've done before...not "dancey" like TurboFire and more technical than Kenpo…
  • I'm waiting for COMBAT to come in the mail...I'm doing a P90X / Asylum hybrid right now...how would you compare Combat to P90X as far as intensity goes? I have never felt like the cardio in P90X was very intense, but the strength part is the best! thanks for any feedback :)
  • I've done P90X 4 times, and after the 2nd or 3rd round, just wanted some variety...I think that is why the Hybrids are good - if I don't have variety I get bored easily :) I did use the hybrid schedule from Beach Body...just so I didn't have to design one myself. good luck!
  • I started my fitness journey in 2008 with 10 minute trainer. If you have done P90X, this will seem like a piece of cake...but if you looking for something to fill in the gap, you might like it....it does offer variety and you can stack the 10 minute programs to get a longer work out. I also really like Turbo Fire...it has…
