  • Phew, I've just done day one. That was tougher than I thought! I only had 5lb weights too, which were a little heavy for me! Still good work out. This gets logged as circuit training,is that right? My measurements are Weight 155.8lbs" Neck 15" Waist 35" Will take a picture later and one when we've completed And hell yeah,…
  • Can blokes do this?!! I ordered the DVD last week after reading about it on here.. Will have a go tomorrow
  • I'm not doing the hour challenge but wanted to wish you all good luck! I too started running with the C25K app, and as everybody is finding out it was fantastic! I finished it last may and have since run a half marathon, and do my first full marathon next Sunday. A couple of weeks ago I ran 30k which took 3 and half hours!…
  • Hi JLaSoul333 Thanks, I might have to try the freezer trick! I just can't stop eating at the moment and it's annoying. I'm putting on all the weight I've spent a year losing! Still, as my family and friends have reminded me, I'm a lot healthier all ready, from just two weeks of not smoking, belly or not!
  • That's awesome! Great new indeed. Keep at it and think, in a couple of weeks you'll be running 5k, and then you'll be thinking, 5k is an easy run, I want to go further!!
  • To be honest, it sounds like you're doing really well and the achy legs are a good thing! You might be started the first runs a little too fast, which is tiring you out for the last runs of the session. Try to keep your pace steady through them all, which means starting slower at the start! I think the leg ache is normal…
  • Excellent stuff everybody. I'm a C25K grad too, and swear by it. I tend to harp on a bit, but last year I'd never run before, I did the C25K program and it changed my life. I've since run a 10K and half marathon and am running a full marathon on 22nd May Wouldn't be possible without C25K! I also highly recommend Runkeeper.…
  • House work is a great work out! Keep up the good work
  • Thanks! It's hard going but I found by giving myself new goals, it was easier to keep running. Not lost much more weight since I finished the C25K due to a love of chocolate, but I'm much much fitter! There's no way I could have managed it without the C25K program though, as that gave me the initial focus to get started. I…
  • I did the C25K last year. I was very unfit before I started it! I noticed a difference in general fitness by about week 3 and would say I lost about 5lbs by the end of week 4 or 5. I was running every other day, rather than 3 times a week and watching my calorie intake too. Over the course of the C25K program I lost about…
  • The Couch 2 5K program is great for getting you in to running. Highly recommend it! Once you've started enter yourself for a 5K fun run at the end of the program to give you something to work towards and keep you motivated to keep doing it!
  • That depends on how much running you've done in preparation over the last couple of months and what the furthest distance you've gone up to now. Three short easy runs should see you fine, maybe 3k max just to keep momentum. Give yourself 2 or 3 days off before race day to make sure you're well rested. You'll find that on…
  • Congratulations! You'll be surprised how quickly you improve if you keep it up! Last April (2010) I was unfit and hadn't done any fitness stuff for years. I started the C25K app on my phone, and the first time out I was ruined! I couldn't believe I struggled to run for 60 second bursts... anyway, I stuck with the program,…
