I would like to join too please.

A few friends and I have signed up for one in July. I had heard about it here last year and was too chicken to try it, but am committed this year. Scared and excited at the same time.

Last summer when I first did it, I managed a steady 3lb a week weight loss. Prior to starting I was a steady 2lb/wk loss girl, so that extra oomph I put into running certainly upped the loss. I didn't take any photos (still haven't...and won't). My legs and butt, as mentioned above, were much more defined. Too bad I didn't…

To be honest it is personal preference. I prefer to not count my walk to the gym.
-
I can't believe the difference in running outside for 25 min vs inside going round, and round and round the track. I won't say it was a piece of cake, but certainly way less boring and less messing with your mind. On the track at the gym, there are people who walk faster than I run and people who run way faster than me…

Ok I will admit that Week 7 is a real struggle for me. Part of the problem is I took last week off (from all exercise...*gasp*). I expected day 1 to be tough, but day 2 was brutal. I realize that a huge chunk of it is mental and am my own worst enemy, but still it just seems a really long run, that did seem that way when I…

I had Chickpea, Tomato, Cheese Power salad with 2 kiwis. I get to eat it 4 lunches this week, because that is what the recipe calls for. Yummmm.

I am going to do W7D1 tonite. Between tweaking my shoulder and my knee acting up, I just couldn't do any running last week. My knee is much better and shoulder is on the mend (but couldn't hold a bar over my shoulders for my ewight class last night). Off I go again!

@ Ping_A1C2U - What positive and inspriring post! Good for you! I wasn't brave to keep going, though I probably could have last weekend.

Did Week 6 day 3 on Saturday morning at the cottage and smoked it! I really had to slow myself down to pace myself. The last 4 minutes were even uphill! I was so psyched afterwards!

Hello from just east of Toronto, ON!
-
Week 1 weigh in: 247.0 Drank all my water and worked out with weights most days of work out, unless I was just running (doing the c25k and just couldn't stomach the additional weight)
-
You can do it. We shall hold you to it!!!!
-
I have absolutely no problem with the water - I generally do about 14-15 glasses of it any way. My problem is adding in the weights to the rests of the work outs. I will typically alternate weights with cardio, sometimes both together, but not always. Still trying, however!!!

Defnitely not. It can be so easy to play mind games with yourself. Once I got through day 1, I knew I could do day 2....but day 3..YIkes! I talked to DH just before I left and mentioned to him my trepidation, and he just said, that he knew I could do it. So off I went and did it. Sooooo...I know you can do it too!
-
You might surprise yourself! I forgot to look up what the intervals were ahead of (I listen to a podcast of the runs, which indicates when to run and walk) and before i knew It I had done it. I do have to say, however, that 20 min one freaked me out....but I pulled it off. In the iconic words of Nike - "Just do it".
-
I did it!!! Doing happy dance (if only I weren't so tired) LOL! I did Week 5 day 3 without stopping! I didn't sleep well last night because I was worried about it, but got up and did it today!!!
-
W5D2 done whew....Friday morning is going to be a killer. I was going to do Day 2 Thursday night and then day 3 Friday morning, but rethought that plan! LOL!
-
I finished W5D1 last night. Wow...that's it wow. Day 3 is seriously going to kick my butt (in a good way of course). I am thinking I may do day 2 tonite....and then day 3 Friday morning. Originally I was thinking Day 2 Thursday night and day 3 friday morning....but I think that may be a bit much for my body! LOL! My only…

The only person I am accountable is me (and it's about time...LOL!). To be honest I don't find looking at anyone else's food diary all that helpful. Everyone is at a different stage in their weight loss/gain/maintenance journey, people are from all walks of life, from different countries all of which affects their…

OK I am in. Thankfully my 10 glasses of water are a standard for me now. It is amazing how much it has helped me. I never fully appreciated how badly my body reacts to salt (well I sort of knew) until the last couple of months and this really keeps the negatives in check. I love my bars and plates class at the gym so I did…

I gotta say this is pretty empowering. While I may not be running quickly....I am making through all the runs!
-
After my mixup on Thursday with the next week's podcast. I have completed Week 4 day 1 today...and will do day 2 tomorrow. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
-
We do grapes that way too. DS was actually asking for them the other day as we haven't done it in a while. We buy the ones on the markdown rack because they get frozen so it doesn't really matter what texture/fresh they are.
-
Grrr went to the gym to get w4d1 done and found out I hadn't loaded it onto my ipod yet...so I did w3d4 instead....not happy with myself. Needless to say I have now loaded the rest of the podcasts up!
-
I just make the plain oatmeal and add 1/4c frozen blueberries to it., no added sugar.
-
Interesting, if I eat anything but Oatmeal or Seven grain cereal for breakfast I am starving about 1-2 hrs later. But the oatmeal seems to really do the trick for me.

A friend bought this a couple of years ago and we tried it one night. It was a good cross section of exercises and had I kept going I likely would have liked it. To me, classes/DVDs should flow (for lack of a better word). I didn't find it flowed, as I wasn't prepared for the next exercise, I lost a lot of time getting set…
