Congrats and AWESOME! I am going to make sure my daughter sees your post. She is working on heavy lifting. Well done!

Anything you can find or kill. You will burn a lot of calories finding and killing things...
-
Seriously? This is a photoshop job and a pretty bad one at that.
-
Outstanding job. You look great and you must feel pretty good too.

Hey, Hoss.... Maybe you can find out if Dunkin' Delivers?!?

Hmmmmm. The first thing that occurs to me is that I can get my own coffee and donut. The second thing that occurs to me is that, personally, I need someone to be mean to me once in a while. It gets my juices flowing and often motivates me to prove someone wrong, prove a point or just get off my *kitten* and do something.…

I am 6'4" at 320 lbs. I started at 382 lbs. At one point, I was down to 296 lbs.I tend to eat back my exercise calories. Some days I burn 800-900 calories doing cardio. On my strength training days, I burn maybe 300 calories. I have not been losing any weight in the last year because I have not been real strict on my food.…

This got me curious... I just checked what the BMI would be for a 17 year old at 205 lbs and it said overweight. That was my weight at 17 as a college basketball scholarship bound high school senior. The BMI is not a good measure of ability or fitness. I think the BSA took the easy way (coward's way) and copped out on this…

My daughter is lifting heavy with me and she is seeing the same excellent results. I sent her a link to this thread. Thanks for being inspirational. YOU ROCK!

Unfortunately, there is no way to lose fat in any particular spot by exercising. If that were true, people who chew gum would have skinny faces. Your body will burn fat in whatever way you are genetically disposed. You just have to keep the calorie deficit in place. Exercise will make you look better because fit always…

I do my best to log my calories, even though it really annoys my wife. I am always over, but I will track it and own it. Besides, it helps me to make better choices, or at the very least, informed decision. Enjoy your vacation.

It has been a hoot! Thanks to Hoss and all my ROMAFM pals. All Hail The Hat!

That was AWESOME. A much needed smile for today.

As some have already said, you are a ROCK STAR! Great job and great tips. Thanks for sharing your journey. :drinker:

My daughter and I are doing stronglifts. There are a lot of folks on MFP that are doing it as well. www.stronglifts.com

It is very nice when others notice, but like you said, you feel better and look better. It most important that you know. Well done. :flowerforyou:

You have done amazingly well. You should be proud of what you have done. Motivation is nothing. Just do the things you know you need to do. The results will follow. Great job! And congratulations on 400+ days of AWESOMENESS!!
-
Bravo! You have done phenomenally well. You look great.

I have always thought that tall girls should stand up straight and wear heels if they want. Nothing is more unattractive than slouching. If you look good in heels and like heels, go for it. Disclaimer - I am 6'4"

I bring green smoothies to work sometimes. I get some really funny looks and even some odd comments. I laugh and offer to let people taste it. A few have. I see you are from Montgomery, Alabama. I guess I am not surprised he would suggest gravy or some other greasy thing on rice. What he did was harassment because it made…

Well said.

Check out "Fat, Sick and Almost Dead" on Netflix. Great documentary about a guy who had tremendous success with juicing fruits and veggies.

Wasn't Plateau recently declassified as a planet? :ohwell:

What an amazing difference. Well done.

I agree with others. Thank your neighbor for her gracious invitation and tell her how much you are looking forward to dining with her and her family. Then explain that you and your mother have high-blood pressure and are under orders from a Dr. to remain on a low salt diet. Then ask if you can bring some sides and ask her…

I almost spit my coffee out. Good one.

I will definitely have to try this. Leaning over a sink brushing my teeth on one leg should be interesting and entertaining to the cat.

As I gained weight and got older, I lost the ability to balance well. An ankle surgery in 2004 made it even worse. I have found my balance has improved as I have lost weight and done strength and fitness training. My bad ankle also gives me much less trouble. For me, improving my balance will be a lifelong endeavor.
