Yep, I'm lunges too. They make my knees burn and my heart rate rocket. I hate them so much and try to cheat my way out of them best I can for the most part...mostly because I don't want to damage my knees doing the stupid things as my family has a history of knee problems. That any mountain climbers! I'd rather do an hour…

The ab exercises in Level 1 were quite nice. Apparently that's the resting time! :P Everyone says level 2 is the worst though so I'm dreading that.
-
:) It is quite tough but you have to power through. I watched level 1 through and thought it looked easy but boy was I wrong! So glad I picked my lightest weights. You can always have two different weights near by if you want to switch it up if you find it too easy. I might do that next time as some of them are easier than…

I just started today using 1.5KG weights, lighter than I usually use but they killed my arms. I definitely say use small weights first and work up or else you can injure yourself and struggle to get through the workout.

Doesn't she also have a kick boxing DVD out around the same time? Might look into picking those up when I've seen the reviews.
-
Wow, that's incredible, you look absolutely amazing and yes I am totally jealous! And in little over 30 days? I'm getting me those DVDs right now!

The Polar FT4 which most people rave about it is on Amazon for £54.99 at the moment (well it has been for a good month or more) The only problem I've seen with that is the battery, I think it needs to be sent back to Polar to be replaced but since you're in the UK it seems to be a bother to do so. I could be wrong but…

Not sure if Runkeeper will work for stationary running but it's pretty good. It's free to download so it won't hurt to try it out :) It uses GPS so quite accurately measure your outdoor movement. I'll keep my eye out for something that will work with treadmills.

My local gym is doing £16 a month for the whole gym, any time of day. It doesn't have a pool but our leisure center lets you use the pool for £2 and I rarely go. The other gym in town and sports centre is £30 a month for gym, pool and sports facilities (track/courts/bowling alley) We actually have two more that I haven't…

Apparently Move Fitness is good but you'll need two move controllers. Haven't got it myself since I only have the one controller but it's had some pretty good reviews. Something basic like the Racket Sports can get your heart going if you put in the effort like you're actually playing the sport rather than waving the…

My grandparents, sister and auntie are seriously lazy. My grandparents and sister (23) are seriously overweight and do very little exercise, maxing out on going up and down stairs or round the shop. My aunite isn't overweight but is very unhealthy, she used to be anorexic when she was suffering a divorce but now she's…

I've been looking into getting a HRM but it's problems like these which are making me concerned spending so much money for inaccurate readings or the other problems that have been discussed.
-
I don't think it's broken. I'm pretty sure those HRMs aren't designed to be worn at rest. They assume you're active so calculate your calories based on that knowledge even though you're sat doing nothing. So if your heart rate increases during the day but you're still not moving, it'll count that as extra calories as if…

Well, I think it's blooming hot in the UK when it gets to 30C and it's humid and sticky so I think I'd pass out at 40! Doing exercise in the pools sounds like your best bet or do a run and then take a dip after to cool down. Unless the water is warm too, that wouldn't be much fun! Might take it over the weather here though…

There are times when I HATE exercise, mostly when I'm actually working out but I just think about the end results and it gets me through it. I'm not one for running or the gym but I do it because I know I won't lose weight sitting around. I'm also looking for sports clubs for sport I enjoy like football (soccer),…

Don't believe diet sodas are better for you because they're not. Research into diet drinks show that they can actually be worse for you than regular sodas. Cutting out soda all together or treating yourself to a small amount will help you lose weight. There's so many calories and sugar in a small amount of soda. I was…

Heard the Wii version is terrible. Some many issues and bugs that haven't and won't be fixed. It's a shame because it looked good fun.
-
I don't have one but I've been looking into it also. Apparently it's not as accurate as the bodybugg or something like the Polar when it comes to heavy exercise but for some reason it appeals to me so much. Unlike a HRM you wear it all day, calories, tracks steps, sleep etc and unlike the bodybugg, you don't have to pay…

I hate it! Really hate it but at the same time I want to learn to love it or at least be able to run distance without feeling I'm going to drop dead any second.

I've been looking at the box set online for a while now (30DS, No more trouble zones, banish fat boost metabolism and 6w6p) Think I might pick it up after looking at people results. That's just amazing. If I look half like you do when I've done I'll be happy! Stupid belly fat is driving me crazy.

I'm also doing EA Sports Active 2 like someone said. It's really good for exercise! IT might not be for most people as it isn't fun but it really does work all of your body. Most of the workouts in the programs are about 20-30 minutes long and they also have pre-loaded workouts, like Basketball Bootcamp which vary in time.…

People do realise you'll burn calories sitting down, right? The HRM is not inaccurate because it noted calorie burn, everyone burns calories during the day even if they laid in bed for all of it.
-
I'll give this ago. 10 sets of 20 throughout the day should be easy enough if I remember to do it!
-
No one will know who this :P He's not exactly a celebrity but he plays sport in the UK and most people know him here. And I ♥ him. Shame he's married with a kid! :P Maybe not the most flattering picture. Much better looking IRL!

Yep but I reach that total most days but I also tend to fall under by around 100 calories too. There's only so much good food in the house and I can't afford to buy loads just to reach their recommended total. I feel good eating the 1000-1200 + exercise calories that I do and I'm steadily losing weight with no bad side…

If you struggle with pushups, start the program doing them from the knee. It'll make them easier but also help build up you upper body strength. That's my little cheat because I can't do push ups at all so plan on doing the first three weeks or so doing basic knee push ups and then move to a full body push up when I can.
-
Is it easy to pick up? I've looked at the videos but I'm still not sure I can do it. It looks tons of fun and burns a lot of calories but I have two left feet and no coordination at all so feel I'd get frustrated with it if I can't pick up the moves.
-
I just used ice, rested, took some ibuprofen and did some gentle stretches.
-
Haha. I think the idea is to just follow the plan as best as you can without pushing yourself too and don't give up. Eventually you'll start doing more push ups and running further as well as getting into shape. I do hate running though! :P
-
I'm doing the 100 push up challenge. Managed to pull a muscle in my shoulder first day though but I'm back onto it now but taking it carefully. I really need to start Couch to 5K again. Tried it in the summer but got disheartened by how unfit I was. Couldn't get through three sets of jogging before I almost dropped dead on…
