So look for trends. Say if you graphed your weight everyday and then after a week drew a straight line that represented the "dots" on your graph the best. This will allow you to see the trend. Say you weigh 143 one day, 141 the next, 142 the next, 144 the next, and then back to 141. Most likely your weight is "about" 141…

1250 a day sounds way too low for a 32 year old man. The advice you are getting to eat 1900 and continue the exercise sounds like a much better idea.

I also think 3 weeks is WAY too soon to be frustrated. Weight loss is not linear..you will not always lose the same amount each week. Eat healthy, exercise, eat some of your exercise calories back if you need to, COUNT ALL your calories and DON'T backslide. If you still aren't losing after 2 months (yes, 2 months) then go…

Wow! Long distance cyclists impress the heck out of me! Good luck on your training!

I could get used to it I guess. I'm still struggling with getting used to it but the whole point is that very thin people are pretty much eating a calorie deficit all the time so it would just be a change in habits. I would get sick of measuring out my food however! ;-)

It's pretty common. If you have lost a toenail before you are more susceptible on that toe. It's a combination of friction and other forces. I think you can have fairly good shoes and still lose them. "some" runners have their toenails removed!!!??? It's sort of a joke amoung long distance runners..who needs toenails…

5 & 6 made me wince a little. 3 & 4 I would classify as really thin but some people are naturally really thin and healthy. I think if all these ladies are eating right and exercising then they are fine. I just worry about people with ribs showing that they have a body image problem and an eating disorder.

Here is the link: http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=35501 Weight loss is not linear. Sometimes it takes weeks for results to show up.

I think it doesn't hurt to eat so lightly for awhile. I think doing that as a lifestyle would not be good but for the short term it won't kill you. I firmly believe most of us are in the bad habit of eating too much (duh, right?) but we are so used to overstuffing our faces that leaning a bit the other way won't kill us.…

I say eat back most of your exercise calories. Try to leave a 100 calorie buffer but note I didn't today (only 50 cal buffer) But if you feel weak or hungry eat those exercise cals back..you earned them.

Weigh yourself once a week but look for trends..i.e a net up and down. I can go up or down by 3 lbs in a day you may retain water even more than me. So weigh once a week but look at the trend over a month. If you are exercising and doing a calorie deficit it will eventually show up in the scales..maybe not immediately.

Congrats! You really rock!

So pick up the pace if you can! If not, walking a mile is walking a mile..it's good for you not matter how slow or fast you go.
-
Are you sure your stride is only 5 inches? That seems way too short. Almost a shuffle. I'm betting your stride is more like 12 inches or so. But in anycase, no, I'm sorry. You have to "cover the distance" so unless you pick up the pace and take more short strides then you will take longer to cover the same distance as your…

Yeah naturally fit people do have that "unspoken" advantage. Sometimes they even start their own dating websites and say "no fatties allowed" SO I think we don't have to feel bad not praising them. They usually have a very good self opinion as it is! ;-) Sort of joking but sort of not!

I don't want to draw fire from vegans and vegetarians but I've never met a really healthy looking one! I always assumed that they just weren't balancing their meals right. But maybe it's because strictly vegetarian eating goes against that fact that we are meat-eating animals. If you are healthy and a vegatarian more power…

Your butt may not be bigger, it might just be firmer so you got more structure to your tush and it seems to stick out more! Plus your waist might just be getting smaller therefore making your fanny look larger. If you are firming up and eating right I wouldn't obsess..I bet you look cute! To keep yourself from going crazy…

I agree. As long as you are mostly eating healthy, doing the fast food thing every once in a while isn't bad. You can't kill the good for the perfect. Some people are amazing and stick to a very strict and "healthy" diet and never stray..but that isn't me! ;-) I find when I deny myself something I obsess. I was on atkins…

Love the natural peanut butter. It is my daily sustenance! ;-) It is also my super marathon food. Before each marathon I eat 2 PBJ's made with really nice jam and natural peanut butter..yummy!

Go to bed! I know when I burn the late night hours I tend to eat. Get some sleep, wanting food may just be your body being confused and really NEEDING sleep. ;-)

This sounds like the grandma's club! I'm a grandma too and I just sent you a friend request!

I know exactly how you feel. I use food to alleviate stress. Of course it doesn't work but I still do it! ;-) I even joke about saying "food is love" because frankly that was how I was raised. My children were and are naturally slim (like their Dad) and although intellectually I was glad that they wouldn't have to struggle…

You look awesome! Great job!

You did an amazing job and you look great! Congrats! It is no small feat to do what you did. You should be incredibly proud of yourself. The great thing is that you have rewarded yourself with a great looking healthy body! Enjoy!

I'm over twice your age so the rules may be different but I've cut out drinking for a while. 1. It slows me down and makes me lazy, 2. Booze has calories! 3. Even if I "work" it into my diet I don't think it is the best way to "eat" healthy. I should be using the calories for healthy food. In a nutshell, booze is fun but…

I will keep you in my prayers. My father either had Alzeimer's or Vascular Dementia but it boils down to the same thing. It's good you are getting medical attention early. I hope you don't have Alzeimer's. Eat healthy, continue to exercise, and do what your doctor says! I hate Alzeimer's and Vascular Dementia and I hope…

frosted bite-size mini wheats. I could eat a box at a time! I think I need a 12-step program for them!

While I'm no expert, definately the moisture wicking socks that they sell in the running store. Sounds like you are getting good advice but go to a good running store and ask about shoes and socks. It sounds like you have bad socks and or shoes that rub against your toes to create the blisters. Also keep your toe nails…

eczema is related to allergies. You could be allergic to some of the foods you are eating. Go to a doctor.

You look amazing! You are a great advertisement for strength training for women!
