Another side effect that I've noticed is unwanted male attention, sigh.

I have to comment on this...I once weighed 280+ pounds, and that was hard. Harder than anything I've ever been through in my entire life. The way a person would look at you and quickly jerk their head away, like god forbid they should get caught looking at the fat girl, the way doors were always left to shut in your face,…

I usually have one of the Quaker weight control oatmeals with 1/2 cup of blueberries. Yummy!

Omgosh, congratulations!! Just had to say that. My max was 281, so huge kudos to you for doing such a great job!!

Hi, I'm 5'4" and weigh 186, I wear a 14 in slacks and a 15 junior in jeans. When I was size 16 I was around 205ish, but I could start wearing size 14 slacks around 195. I carry my weight pretty well, most people don't realize that I still have 60+ pounds left to lose, so basically what I'm saying is that I'm proportionate.…

Hmmm, I've heard of that before, but had forgotten what was taken off of the carbs. I'll have to look at my oatmeal I eat in the morning, that's the meal I'm having the most problems with. My sugar can sometimes spike to 160's and I'm definitely not happy with that number.

Mine's usually around 115 to 120, hoping it goes down soon. I've been exercising steadily for 2 months.

I have a hard time getting my calories up too, but I have to be super careful about carbs. I'm diabetic, and control it almost completely with diet and exercise now. I've started adding nuts to my diet and that seems to help but, eh, still running on the low side.

Same here, lol. I had someone call me skinny minnie last weekend, and I'm like what?? I'm still a size 14 (my biggest was also size 26) I tried explaining to her how I don't see myself as different. Sure I'm more active, blah, blah, blah, but I still see myself as the fat girl. She instantly started looking at me weird,…

I feel the same way to. I'm actually down 40lbs from my starting weight and down almost 100 lbs from my heaviest. But when I look in the mirror, its the same fat girl. Strange really, I wear smaller clothes, things fit better, but still feel the same as I did at 227. Hopefully it improves with time, lol.

It'd actually be your measurement before you add the inches I believe, which is 3 inch difference or size C cup.

I did too, lol!!

I wish I was more assertive. I get pissed about things happening to me, but never seem to have a voice to stand up for myself when it counts the most or I get completely emotional and cry, bleh. My husband, omg, I wish he was more proactive. If I need something done in the house I have to tell him, he doesn't look around…

I'm appalled at what that guy did, and I hope when you report him that you get a quick response. What I hate most is when you report something and they do nothing. To respond to another poster's statement. I also go to Planet Fitness, and I still won't go into the weight area. Its very intimidating to go into an area…

I'm Ericka, and my superpower is that I'm an empath. I can sense whether a person has good or bad intentions, and if they are inherently a good or bad person. When I'm not busy reading people's emotions or exercising to control my diabetes, I'm playing my lvl 85 Arcane Mage on Silvermoon, or watching Zombies chomp on…

Omg, I love WoW, The Walking Dead, and Zombies, lol!!

I love WoW!!!

For myself, the dietitian route didn't help me besides teaching me portion control. The one at my doctors office recommended a way higher carb intake than I'm comfortable at, and didn't differentiate between 'good' carbs and 'bad' carbs. When I was following the American Diabetic Associations diet plan my after meal sugars…

Can you explain the effective carbs? I'm type 2, diagnosed last June, I'm doing really well but not as good as you. My A1C is 5.8, and fasting in the a.m. is about 110 to 115. I was recently taken off of glipizide because of extreme lows, but I'm still on Victoza, which essentially just slows emptying of the stomach and…

I have to take gummy vitamins too because the regular ones make me sick. As in actually throwing up sick :frown: Not sure why though. So I just stock up on the gummies, especially the sour ones, love them.

I've been heavy on and off my entire life. Started when I was 8 years old or so, lost weight for a while in junior high and high school, then had my first child at 15 years old. I did manage to get my weight back down somewhat after my first, I'm 5'4" and got down to 160, but shortly after that I started gaining massive…
