The most accurate way is to simply add up the total calories of each ingredient, take your grand total and divide it by the number of equally sized servings.

I've been rewarding myself with things that are becoming necessities- like new clothes. So far I've only allowed myself to get a new bra and some new pajamas, because I had no more of either one that fit well enough to justify continuing to wear them. Within the month I'm going to have to finally break down and buy myself…

I'm looking forward to doing that in the near future! Congrats to you!! :)

I'm with you! I would like to be able to take my walks every single day, not just when the weather cooperates. AND once all the snow stops, I'll still have to wait three full weeks for the ice to melt off the cement, by which point it will have snowed again. I'm so ready to move back South...

You can manually set your calorie goals and just ignore what it says you would lose per week. That's really just a generic average number of what you could possibly lose. It doesn't really have an effect on your overall goals.

I disagree. I think as long as you're still losing weight- and more importantly if you are content with the weight you're losing- you should maintain your current goals. Later on, you may hit a plateau and need to drop your calories in order to push through it. I would leave well enough alone for now.

That's so thoughtful of you! I haven't quit yet but would like to send out my congrats, too. I do know how hard it is- because I haven't been able to manage it yet :ohwell: The fact that we have so many here who are quitting smoking as well as changing their eating habits just blows my mind. It is very inspirational. BIG…

Hello everyone! I had my first experience with Wii's Biggest Loser last night. I both loved it and hated it. Mostly I hated it because it made me work harder than I have in a long time, and that's saying something because my workouts have been getting more and more intense over the last months. I was actually cussing Bob…

I'm with you... what is it?!?!

Wow! Very inspirational!!! Congrats on your weight loss so far :drinker: I think it's even more important that you're doing what you can to encourage and assist your family members in leading a healthier lifestyle. I, too, am slowly trying to incorporate small but healthy changes into my husband and son's diets, and it's…

Hi all! Newcomer to the group :) Does anyone have any opinions on Wii's Biggest Loser? I just bought it tonight, so I'm looking forward to starting it tomorrow. I'm excited but a little skeptical about it being a great workout. I've only been using Wii Fit Plus since Xmas and it's already growing pretty routine, so I'm…

I have PCOS and was put on Metformin to assist my fertility medications. I wasn't actively dieting at the time, but did lose something like 13 pounds over the course of a couple of months. It was a very minimal amount of loss, really, but I think if you coupled it with a healthy diet and exercise routine it has the…

The person above me... is well on her way to achieving a healthy goal weight, and is working extra hard to take care of her own needs while leading a busy lifestyle.

You have to sit back and really look at all the areas of your diet and exercise. I know right now, my body is getting frustratingly accustomed to the low calories and extensive exercise and I tend to get "stuck" at a new weight every couple of pounds. I find focusing on things such as increasing my water intake and…

What a great feeling! Emotionally, anyway. Can't say I'm a big fan of how baggy my pants physically feel. Hehe Way to go and keep it up:wink:

I have a pre-planned cheat day every once in awhile. Probably twice a month on average. I think it's necessary to indulge every once in awhile, however the longer I stay true to my diet- aka lifestyle changes- the less I enjoy those strays.

Oh. My. Gawd. Hilarious!

I'm a pineapple fanatic!! I'll have to try this.

Yay for you!!!! I'm in the same situation. The funny thing is I'm kind of frustrated by it, because the jeans that were hanging off of me yesterday were jeans I'd just barely started getting back into at the end of October! Now I have few pairs that will fit appropriately. It's a good feeling, though.

They have 9g of sugar, but I have no idea if that's good or bad. LoL I focus solely on cals, fat and sodium, so I'm not quite sure how that stacks up. Taste wise, I think they taste kind of like cocoa puffs, only they don't tear up your mouth. I enjoy them... and seeing as how I never eat ANY other chocolate (or anything…

Hi Trevor! Welcome to MFP. Many of us here are in similar situations of losing the weight - AGAIN. You're definitely not alone, and I get how incredibly frustrating it can be. But you've done it before so you KNOW you can do it again, and hopefully you'll find a great amount of support and encouragement here to…

I love.... Frigo Light String Cheese- 60 cals Dannon Light and Fit 60 cal yogurts Emerald 100 cal pack almonds And fruit bars, though they're a little higher in cals

Good point. And also, don't be afraid to try something new. You never know what you can find out there to become a worthy substitue of your favorite treat. For instance, I've been craving chocolate like crazy lately, and since I'm a cereal freak, the other day I picked up the new Chocolate Cheerios and have fallen in love…

The person above me... has a very inspirational quote :)

Oooh, ooh, pick me! Can I join? What are the guidelines?

Are you f'n kidding me?! That is astounding! Surely, that's not really you in the first picture! Geez, that gives me all new inspiration, and I wasn't really lacking any! What kind of exercising have you done to get yourself so toned? I thought, even if I lose the weight, I'd still be forever "flabby" but you give me a new…

 Hahahaha I just love the title! Good luck to you. A pound per week is definitely a very accomplishable goal. Keep your focus and you can do it!

Is it in the database?! I swear it wasn't there a few weeks ago. Hmm... well then disregard my last little blurb!

I think it does. I do it so rarely that when I DO have to do it, it's definitely a workout. However, it's not listed in the exercises here. I'm sure you can do a search and find some general guidelines as to how many calories it may burn, and list it in your exercise log if you like. However, I usually just still do my…
