I am 5'3" and weigh 205 pounds. I take measurements at the beginning of each month and lost 1.6 pounds and 3-3/4 inches in January. I started January 2nd and did 8B yesterday. My gym has a section for women only and I don't think it's unfair at all. I have seen some of the men checking out the women (and vice-versa) which can be unwelcome when trying to grunt out a few sets. That s strange... I am 205 and my calculations have me at 2,050 on workout days (1.4 multiplier) and 1,750 on non-workout days (1.2 multiplier).

I haven't been to a PF... the closest to my house is Gold's. It costs a bit more, but there are a TON of fitness options... Plenty of weights, grunting, crashing, swimming, classes, movies, cardio, and I can lift things up and put them down without an 'alarm' going off.. :)

I smoked for close to twenty years and after several failed attempts I quit for good on August 17th, 2007. I DO NOT miss it one bit!! For those of you who have quit for one hour, one day, one week, one month, one year, etc... Good for you and keep up the good work. For those who have failed, keep trying... You can do it. :)

I was a size 7 before I had my daughter (had the body of a size 5 and the hips of a 7). It took about 3 months for me to get back into my clothes, except for my bras. I went from an A to a B.

It definitely gets better. Those first couple of weeks were rough. I have started to add some cardio on the off days. I do 7A today. :)

In my log, I list them as a total weight since I am lifting them together. I think some people use the individual DB weIght, but it a matter of personal preference. :)

Thank you :) I did 6A this morning... Squats 65, regular pushups, seated row 60, step up two 17-1/2 lb DB's (those are rough), regular prone jacknives, I have way more control that I did when I started. I am really looking forward to the workouts :)

I did 5B yesterday and went up in weight... Deadlifts 65; shoulder press two 20 pound DB's; lat pull 60; lunge two 20 pound DB's. I thought for sure that my shoulders would be more sore from the lat pulls, but my legs are feeling those lunges instead.
