That is awesome. On another note, when my DAD fit into my jeans in high school is when I decided that I needed to get in shape... (and I did, then I got a desk job!) Great NSV!

I went from Aerobics instructor to desk-jockey too, I understand!!! I live alone with my pups, but understand the difficulty of living with someone who doesn't eat the same way I do. I'll send you a request, and my diary is open! I love to share recipes, so if you see anything that sounds good, just ask!!

They're at Dillards and Macy's. But, the ones at Target are almost half the price and last longer...

Feel free to add me too!

Mine's open, I log daily and sometimes in advance! Happy to share recipes too :)

You CAN do it!!! Take a look at the Success Stories on here, they're incredibly inspirational, plus you can learn a lot from them. Best of luck. It's hard work, but SO worth it!

In this for the advice... I just got put on steroids, muscle relaxers, and start physical therapy this week for serious hip pain. Doctor thinks it may be caused by my running form, so maybe you need to check that? Also, New Balance shoe stores will help you find the right shoe and make sure you walk out happy with it. No…

GREAT job!!! Don't forget to give yourself breaks now and then, it'll help you keep from getting discouraged.

I've never seen the non-sweet flavors of Oikos... is it by the yogurt in the store?

Maybe Ann's Bra shop? I have some *ahem* top-heavy friends who've found a lot of luck there. I'm not sure if they do sports bras though, and they are quite expensive, but worth it. I'm not so well endowed. And what little I have are disappearing. Sad face.

I've felt this way recently too. Guilt over the smallest cookie, aggravation when I'm over my calories by even 10! To get rid of the bloat, drink a ton of water, eat some fiber, it'll go away within a couple hours or a day. To get rid of the guilt, remind yourself it's a treat not a cheat like someone else here said. Then…

Agreed! I stress eat, but I'm trying to stop. When I want to eat, I take myself away from the temptation (whether I leave my apartment, drive by the fast food, or even just say no to seconds!), then distract myself from the food, from the situation, and do something that gets me up. I play with my dogs (great…

I like working out in the morning... most days. But it does get it over and done with, and the evening is free to do as you please. I tend to feel more awake and energized when I work out in the mornings, but I think as long as you are active at some point in the day, you're doing your body good. Just move when you feel…

Fried almonds: blanched raw almonds, (if blanching yourself, make sure you dry them well!), olive oil, fresh thyme, sea salt. Heat your oil (just about 2-3 tbls for a cup of almonds will do), throw in your almonds and watch them. You'll know when they're done by the smell (think toasted almond smell!), and they'll have…

Maybe you need to have a 'come to Jesus' talk with them about their unsupportive behaviors. Tell them you are trying to be healthy, that you've got so much life to live and you want to live it actively, healthfully, and happily. If they don't want to do it with you, fine, it can be done alone. How about cooking, can you?…

How lovely! Congratulations! And just think, you'll be healthy for a lifetime with your new husband
