  • Can't say I blame you. I'm somewhat new to low-carb and my love of all things bad for me has made me keep at least 50 carbs/day, but I aim for about 75. First couple of days weren't that fun, but now it's awesome! I love that book! I think I've read it cover to cover at least five times. Ha.
  • From what I have read (spoiler alert: not that much), I have learned the following: Less than 50 carbs per day = ketosis (generally not advised) 50-100 carbs per day = fat loss, therefore losing weight (if you are watching your carbs and want to lose, this is you) 100-150 carbs per day = maintaining weight (at the weight…
  • Oh! I'm jealous you will be there!!! I think I'm trying to go next week (holding out to see weather reports). Def going to a game on Friday Sept. 7th. It was so enjoyable to see us play the last couple of games. Not sure if the Nats were having an off series, but we looked good. J-Roll in particular. That in-the-park-homer…
  • Here's hoping we win tonight!
  • Why hello! I was in the same boat yesterday, but stumbled upon a good website. I should add I appreciate the "weekly meals" aspect of the site. It may help to answer your question. http://paleoonabudget.com/
  • Thank you guys so much for helping this gal out. I feel like all the guys who were "staples" in my Phillies book (Ibanez; Oswalt; Werth; Victorino; Pence) are traded now :( My lack of baseball history (just got into it when I moved to Phila about 6 years ago) has me unprepared for how quickly players are on your…
  • Take that, Nationals! Who the h was that team last night?! Our offense was great!
  • Can someone explain what the rationale is for trading these two? I was under the impression they were really helping the team out this season...ugh. No more Bob Marley being played when the Flyin' Hawaiian takes bat?! Say it ain't so!
  • OU lady here. Born and raised in Tulsa, OK, graduated from OU, then on to Philadelphia. Most hated teams?: LSU; ND (like a true OU fan); texas; USC...pretty much anyone who has defeated OU on television is a highly publicized game...ha. Going to the Florida/Kentucky game; OU/ND game; and the OU/WVU game this year.
  • Hate to break it to any ND fans out there, but....BOOMER SOONER! Get ready for Oct. 27!
  • I really thought we were there, not that we didn't put up a great fight for that last game. Papelbon was definitely upset about that one. Hopefully tonight will be a W!
  • And it's gone.
  • College (AKA: real football): The University of Oklahoma! BOOMER! Pro (AKA: not my favorite...): E-A-G-L-E-S!
  • So far so good tonight! Drinks for everyone when we win!
  • I'm such a dork with my drinks lately: Strawberry vodka and club soda please!
  • Not even going to lie, I had the game on for a total of ten minutes. I feel bad (perhaps even a fair-weather fan), but I just can't watch us shoot ourselves in the foot for much longer. Going to watch the game tonight, hoping for better results!!!!
  • Not really sure what is going on with us. We looked so good the first game! What's up with Lee giving up a homer on the first pitch?! Ugh. We need something to help us!
  • Have fun here! Don't forget the chickie and pete's fries. That is, if you can indulge a little :)
  • I'm surprised J.Roll isn't there. That man is made of glass. When are Utley, Howard, and the Vanimal back?
  • Not originally from Philly (Okie native). Moved here in 2006 and marched on Broad Street in 2008. Feel bad that I don't have much history, but I always try to go to at least 4-5 games a season (assuming my wallet can handle it). Already been to one so far, when we killed the Cubs (only win in that series). Hopefully going…
  • Please PLEASE tell me you are talking about Ted's. Took some people there from Philadelphia this fall (OU grad) and they about died when we sat down at Ted's for all the free tortillas, queso, peppers, onions...okay...getting hungry
  • Great minds think alike! I'm 5'10 Current weight: 153 Goal weight: 140
  • I don't eat anything for breakfast, as I just don't get that hungry. I've lost about 25 pounds. But, I usually snack on almonds around 10-11am.
  • I do one full day of cheating, as a reward for myself. I indulge in whatever I have been craving that week, to get it out of my system. Not that it is advisable for everyone, but I have lost 26 pounds.
  • That's really great! Keep up the good work and don't ever get discouraged. You are on the right path!
  • I like the way they think! BOOMER!
  • BOOMER SOONER!
  • I'm 5'9 (ish) and I have set my goal at 140. Right now, I'm 163 (+ - 2 lbs). It's hard to figure out, because I feel the same as you. Even at my lowest weight, I was a size 6. I know I'll never be a size 0, but I think 140 will look good on me. Who knows? I think your goal is a good one. I guess everyone carries weight in…
  • I tend to binge when I'm at home (I live alone, so it makes it all the easier!). If I don't have plans that night, or just zoning out to television, I think about food SO much more than normal. I try to do the things you are doing (though I haven't invested that much time into it...). I also do things (at home, mind you)…
