I started 30DS today too! It was rough, but nothing I couldn't push myself through. :D Oh, I also started C25K today... It wasn't really that awful doing both this morning either.

I've been curious about this as well so bump!
-
I don't count the warm-up and cool-down and log it as 20 minutes for the sake of simplicity... I probably should include those though, heh.
-
Same here, I got started a little late into my 29th year on deciding to get fit so I might not be at my goal by my birthday (this month, heh) but I'll get there. :D

Welcome to MFP, Abby! You've come to a great community, I've only been here a short time myself, but I've found a plethora of resources to get me going, and great people to help keep me motivated on my fitness journey! Just remember to take it one step at a time (literally even!), fitness is more akin to an epic quest than…

I hope it's not too late to join, I just started C25K today and it was awesome! Sure I was sweaty and almost completely winded by the time it was over, but it was worth it! I got to about 2.5 miles in roughly 30min (Noom was being testy this morning with my playlist.) I can't wait for my next run day (Thursday)!! See you…

I use CardioTrainer or Noom (same app basically)... Just turn it on before my walk/run and let the GPS find me before I start moving.

I have that now bookmarked, thanks for sharing! I want one tonight, lol.

I have an older Health-O-Meter scale that I am able to input some general info about each user (and it can store 4 users). The info you program into it is: Gender, Height and Age. It uses electrical impedance to determine body fat %, bone mass, BMI, and hydration. Oh, and it'll give you your weight too! Sadly, this model…

I'm starting it tomorrow (7/5/11) so feel free to send me a friend request, just include a little note so I don't just reject it!

Starting 30DS tomorrow! Apprehensive and excited all at the same time... I previewed it yesterday (watched all 3 levels of workout) and it looks intense, but I keep hearing such good things about it. So to everyone whom is doing 30DS currently, and those starting in the near future: Good luck and congratulations! We can do…

Apparently they've moved to http://thisiswhyyourefat.tumblr.com/

Love it!

You have to manually add that in as a signature. Look for "Signature" up near "Home", "Recent Posts", "My Topics" and "Search" and click it.

WTG! And I'd have to agree with your brother on this. Careful how you drive! :D

I was wondering the same as the OP since I don't have an HRM and can't afford one at the moment. While I'm sure it's going to be burning crazy calories (I previewed all 3 levels of it today - had to make sure the 2nd hand disc still worked!) it'd be nice to have something (even a rough guess) in the log. Edit: I was still…

Welcome to MFP! I've found this site to be incredibly valuable to me in my own fitness journey - that only started recently! I'm not in the same age range (will be 30 this month), but I'm always looking for new friends. Just include a message if you send me a friend request. :D

This is a great article but I'm not going to throw my scale out just yet... Mine uses bio-electrical impedance to also figure out my bone mass and % of body fat... I was also able to enter my height and gender into it so it calculates my BMI for me too. But if I still had one of those spring-loaded things that only showed…

I actually just picked myself up a second-hand copy of this today and previewed it... Gotta find my weights before I can really do it though. If I find'em today, I'll sign up. :D Sign me up! Found the weight set!

I pretty much log everything right now and don't see why I would stop.

Excellent article, thanks for sharing!

I couldn't agree more! We as consumers need to stand up to these practices and stop buying misleading products. That's the only way companies seem to respond these days.
-
There's some good advise in here I may want to look at later. :D

Congratulations, Team 6! You've come out on top early on, but can you maintain? There's a few teams out there hot on your heels! Congratulations also to ashleypietz (Team 11 MVP)!

Win. :D

That's pretty impressive, and certainly puts it into perspective. I didn't have a problem with thinking I'll be tracking calories and what-not until the end of my days either, but seeing this makes it even less of a concern so thank you! This made me laugh, thanks for that too. :D

Like others on here, I'm easing into this whole fitness thing. I walk 45-minutes every day (the distance varies slightly, but I average between 3-4.5mph) with one of my dogs - the other is a puppy and can't do the extended walks, but she'll be able to soon enough. Also, I got myself into a daily challenge here on MFP that…

I have a digital scale that calculates not only weight, but also % body fat and BMI. It also tells me how much weight is bone mass, which is kind of nifty. It's a "Health O'Meter BFM681DQ-63" and it's been pretty accurate when I've compared it's results to those from Dr.'s visits.

Along with just about everyone else on here, I try to weigh myself when I wake up and right after that first bathroom trip; I also weigh myself throughout the week and use an average (since weight can fluctuate on a day-by-day basis) for my MFP check-ins.
