  • I have never done wings in it. How do you do your wings?[/quote] I buy the frozen wings, let them thaw, rinse and pay dry. I put them in the fryer at 360 for 20ish minutes. Toss them around and let them cook about 10 mins more. Turn out great!
  • I received one as a Christmas gift. Love it for making chicken wings! I'm told you can make just about anything in it but I haven't really looked into other stuff much. I'd be interested in recipes too.
  • I tried BPC for a week and hated it! Now I just use heavy cream. I also don't like avacados. I keep buying and trying them in different variations but I just can't seem to like them, I really want to though!
  • Awesome! I am 0.2 away from 20lbs lost! It's such a great feeling!
  • Please mention this to your doctor. This can sometimes be caused by an underlying medical condition.
  • What a difference already! Yay!
  • I love a good whoosh! I go about 2-3 weeks between them.
  • That's great, keep up the good work!
  • I get this a lot too. I've had some say "you can't live without carbs" "it will cause kidney failure" "your hair will fall out" etc.... I brush it off. I am the only one in my family who works in the medical field, I'm a registered nurse. Yet they are all more knowledgeable when it comes to what's "healthy". I could argue…
  • I found that if I eat breakfast, I end up wanting to eat ALL day. For whatever, I'm not sure why, it just happens. So I started intermittent fasting and its went really well. I typically skip lunch now too. I was always a big dinner eater so it works for me. I make sure my dinner is full of greens and filling fats. I eat…
  • I haven't experienced that moment yet as I am only 9 weeks in. I've only lost 18lbs so I still have a long way to go. However, recently I have noticed I look less bloated in my belly, face, and hands. A lot of the little subtle changes are what I'm seeing when I look in the mirror.
  • Creamed spinach. I steam a bag of frozen chopped spinach. Add 1/4 block cream cheese and a 1/4 cup of sour cream. Throw in a little garlic powder, cook on medium until it all mixes together. I also purchased a spiralizer and I made zoodles from zucchini. So far I've just made them sautéed in butter with some garlic and…
  • Up the salt! There's a thread somewhere on the forum about ways to do so. All your symptoms are classic for low sodium.
  • I had a strawberry milkshake from cold stone creamery a couple weeks in...then I binged the entire weekend. I had no self control. I regretted it so much. I gained back weight and it took me a solid 2 weeks for the scale to get back down to where I was before. I felt like garbage for an entire week after eating that crap,…
  • Don't minimize that 5lb loss, that is great success so far! Keep chuggin along girl, you're doing great!
  • It's frustrating when the scale doesn't move, have you seen any other changes such as clothes getting loose? As for your knee, I'm wondering how far post op are you? You may need to continue physical therapy for strengthening if insurance allows. If not, you could do the exercises learned from PT at home for awhile? I I…

  • Well done!
  • Hello! I do the Jillian Michaels workouts. My fav is 30 day shred. It incorporates weights and cardio. She has a girl in her videos that does low impact for beginners. I find it easy to follow and fits my schedule being that it's only 30 mins long.
  • I totally feel you. I had a slip up recently and binged for an entire weekend. I can't control myself with stuff like that so I don't buy it anymore.
  • I have been wanting to try the halo top ice cream but it's not sold in my area. Looks like they have a lot of flavors!
  • I went through that when I was about a week in. It was hard to make 800 cals daily, but I felt great so I didn't stress about it. I'm 7 weeks in and have found it's evened out for me now.
  • I have been eyeing a coat for over a year at a local store but it's always been too tight to zip. I tried it on just in case the other day and it zipped no problem! And it was marked half price off! The scale hasnt moved in a couple weeks but there's a lot less bloat in my belly!

  • Be careful! Chinese kicked me out of ketosis. I had the chicken on a stick, butter garlic shrimp, and beef and broccoli. I am beginning to realize that I can't trust food that I didn't cook.
  • These are my zoodles...not cooked yet though.
  • I got mine on amazon for $29. It comes with different attachments. Love it, I made zucchini noodles or "zoodles" if you will. Sautéed them in butter and garlic then tossed in Parmesan cheese. Delicious!
  • The only thing I drink besides coffee and water is monster low carb energy drink...because I'm a caffeine-aholic.

  • Quite honestly, nothing special. I teach them to read food labels. For my diabetics I educate on the short term and long term risks of having high BG. I have had experiences that make me lean toward believing "sugar is addictive". I've had a patient look me in the eye and deny eating any sweets after their BG was 500, they…
  • This is interesting...part of my job is to educate patients on their prescribed diet. Limited concentrated sweets has to be the hardest thing to gain compliance with.
  • I'd love to join in if that's okay! My goals : 1. Do Yoga...3 times a week minimum (hoping to find some YouTube vids for out of shape beginners) 2. Drink more water. Holy crap that's hard for me. Getting time to use the bathroom at my job is a task in itself. 3. Start c25k. Weather permitting I will get out on the pavement…
