Often those closest to us don't really look at us, they take for granted that we look how we have always looked. I stopped wearing glasses after 20 odd years and you would think that would be pretty darned obvious, but most of my family didn't notice. People I wasn't so close to on the other hand noticed straight away.

Fat to fit gives you the calories to eat in order to get to the weight you want to be at a sensible rate. 1.5 per week with only 25 to lose is really a bit much. I would go by the fat2fit (you could probably go 200-300 lower if you really want to), slow and steady really does win the race

Everyone is different. For me the face is one of the first places I lose - usually closely followed by the bust. Unfortunately I REALLY want it to come off the hips..mother nature really sucks sometiimes :ohwell:

Hey baby, can you give me a ride?
-
Just let me sit on your knee and we'll talk about whatever pops up

You're not eating enough. One day you burnt more calories than you even ate :noway: ETA: Do a search for eat more to lose and you find heaps of information. It's not good to be eating under your BMR all the time.

What you get if you multiply six by nine is 54

Good to know I am not the only person who likes jam & cheese sandwiches - toasted or cold - I love it. Majorly unhealthy but jam and plain biscuit (milk arrrowroot ones are the best) sandwiches are yummy. My daughter likes pork and peanut butter .

Hmmmm, think I'll have to change my username to sock

This is a great thread about this http://www.myfitnesspal.com/post/new/350212--why-scales-lie?quote=4730712

This is a complete WIN. You can only fail if you stop trying and you certainly don't sound like someone who just gives up. With all that you have been through you need to be a bit kinder to yourself, a bit more patient (I'm still learning this one myself) and focus on the positives that you have achieved instead of the odd…

The pics are well worth seeing great work!!!

How many are you doing in a set?
-
I'm never quite sure when reading these threads whether I am lifting in a good way or not. All my dumbbell exercises are done with 13-18 pound dumbbells. I squat 66# and deadlift 77# (yeah lame but I'm working on it) and I do 3 sets of 12 of each exercise, 30 second rest between sets. Should I be increasing the weight and…

Are you making sure you stretch well before and after your walks??? I find if I do a really hard walk/run/gym workout then I can avoid alot of pain the next day by continually stretching during the evening jsu 5 minutes every hour or so while watching TV or doing things on the computer seems to make a huge difference.

Firstly, congratulations on your recovery and having the courage to post on here about the battle you have fought. You are gorgeous and could easily be a model - thankfully just not one of those super skinny ones that you want to send food to. You're smile (which is quite obviously genuine) could light up an entire town,…

I didn't calculate it - this was the average figure that i found hunting the net for nutritional information on home made almond milk.

Le Tan gradual tanning is awesome but I don't know if you would get it anywhere other than NZ/Australia

Home made Almond milk is not particularly low in calories. I don't know how the manufacturers manage to get theirs so low but if you look up nutritional info on home made almond milk it is around 150 cals a cup. I was making it and really liked it (you can't buy it pre-made here) but the cals are higher than low fat milk…

I used to do the same but have found that since I upped my daily calories - from 1200 to 1500 net, I don't binge on the weekends anymore. It was like I had to reward myself for being so good all week. You could get yourself into a vicious circle by "punishing" yourself for your weekends all the time.

I don't have "cheat days" because this is not a test and only I make the rules. I do however, have days where I do not stick to my calorie limits and I don't log. All things in moderation..including moderation is my motto and life is for the living, so yes, I live the way I "want" to occasionally instead of the way I…

To me it all comes down to respect. If I tell my kids that are certain item is not for them to help themselves to, then they better darn well leave it alone. There are plenty of other things for them to eat and they have enough respect for their mother to do as they are asked. The OP is not whining or being selfish but…

So now I feel fat, hungry and sexually frustrated...I HATE YOU ALL !!!!  Give me a dozen of those bl**dy cupcakes and a few beers to wash them down with :grumble:

You can lose weight this way but my understanding is that you will slow your metabolism to a point where as soon as you start eating normally again you will stack the weight back on + some, because your body is scared that you will try to starve it again.
-
So Jelly you are wearing the same bra. Seems to be the first place I lose weight  That said, congratulations, you look awesome

I lost over 80 lbs with just walking and diet, so you certainly can't knock cardio for pure weight loss as far as I am concerned. However, since I I regained a relatively small amount of weight (15 pounds) when I stopped smoking nearly 2 years ago I have been back on the weight loss drill once again. Cardio/diet alone is…

Wish I knew how they can make it with so few calories and still keep it creamy if they don't add anything. I add nothing to mine and usually use it for my smoothies but I think I will be going back to using skim milk most of the time and save the cals.
-
I wondered that, but I can't imagine watering it down anymore. I do 4 cups of water to 1 cup of almonds and I wouldn't really describe it as creamy like most people say the bought almond milk is. Maybe it's because I only have the "Magic Bullet" to make it in and not a big blender, so lose more of the pulp?
-
I have been making my own almond milk but am having great difficulty getting any definite nutritional values for it. All the nutrtional information I have found put it at between 70 and 90 calories per cup - how come the bought one is so low cal?
