Interesting. I didn't realize people had a problem with this. Today I was using a 100# DB for sumo squats and it didn't occur to me to <struggle to> remove and re-rack both when I was only using one.

Yes, I would too. Because it's not exercise. Also, regular daily activity IS separate from exercise. It's your TDEE. If you are not sedentary, change your MFP settings to lightly active or above. You will get a higher calorie goal without having to resort to logging your basic daily activities, which is both time-consuming…

Interested.

You can get a decent ballpark estimate by logging it as circuit training.

I really hope you realize how amazing you are. CONGRATS!

I don't want my fitbit visible so the flex is not something I'd want to use. I have a One (Fitbit's customer service just replaced my Ultra under warranty!) and loooooove it. I clip it to my bra or pants. I also like the display - super motivating. The flex does not have one.

damn, girl! way to go!

Congrats on your amazing loss too!

Because having lost 133 pounds and logging on for 740 consecutive days, I know that deprivation leads to binging and giving up, while occasional indulgences - such as cake on your birthday and fair treats during the state fair once per summer - leads to a sustainable, balanced lifestyle one can easily maintaining. As for…

Ugh. OP, that pizza looks so amazing. I hope you enjoyed every delicious bite. There's a difference between binging on junk, and enjoying some amazing, quality eats. Move forward. Pizza will be part of your life, and it's a good part of it ;) You know not to eat it every day, and guilt today is worthless.

I don't.
-
Even if you are 28% bodyfat, that's not obese.
-
FACT.
-
JFC, right? This thread is so many kinds of ridiculousness.

I can try to get licensed pro hac vice in TX to handle your case. I have a feeling this is the one that will make me rich.

No, the BMI charts do not say you're obese. If you're 6'4" and weigh 190 pounds, your BMI is 23, which is within the healthy range. At that height, overweight starts at 205 pounds. To be obese you'd need to weigh 247. (Normal weight = 18.5–24.9, Overweight = 25–29.9, Obesity = BMI of 30 or more). 190 is obese only for…

I care about BMI charts because others care about them. By that I mean life insurance companies, work biometric screenings to set health insurance premiums, and my doctor's office. It's nice to say they don't matter, and while it's true that they have shortcomings, they also have real-life consequences for many of us. I'm…

If you have a Trader Joe's nearby, they sell several kinds of frozen wild salmon. That's what I normally buy.

At this point, I admit desperation. I need to know how this story ends.
-
This exactly. For now, your exercise may be simply walking. Later you might wish to incorporate running, group classes, and strength training. Any movement is awesome; weight loss comes from the deficit you create by ensuring you eat less than your body has burned over the course of the day/week/month.
-
The fact that you posted a thread to express your offense suggests the opposite.
-
When I am running, I am not paying attention to you, nor do I intend to start because it hurts your feelings. Sorry.
-
About the same. I've been tracking during the week at a deficit, then eating at a surplus on weekends. It's evening out and I've been in the same 5-pound "goal weight" range since September. My TDEE is around 2500-2600 a day on average.

Hi! Your weight loss probably slowed because you are quite close to your goal weight. 10 pounds one month, 8 the next is REALLY fast given that you don't have much to lose. At this point, I wouldn't expect to lose any more than half a pound a week on average. In your place, I would NOT drop the lifting until you hit your…

I use a blender bottle 99% of the time. ON Gold Standard mixes just fine with water in one of those. The double rich chocolate is great - awesome mixed with milk, totally drinkable mixed with water.

Almost always. In fact, pre-logging is what keeps me to my plan. I know what I'm eating. I don't need a donut that a vendor brought in because I already have my snacks planned. I know I'm hitting my protein goal. I know I'm having a sweet treat after dinner. It's a very rare day when I deviate from my pre-logged plan. I…

A serving of ice cream is what, 180 calories? Log your hour of lifting as 180 calories. Voila, ice cream.

It doesn't even remotely matter in terms of weight gain/loss. I'd probably log it as yesterday and start today as a clean slate so I didn't have a defeated attitude all day or starve myself because of a slip-up.
