Christmas(ish) 2012

Nothing replaces learning to eat proper nutrition. That being said I tend to skip breakfast, and on those days a shake or quick meal bar are what I eat. I've never gone to the crazy extremes, but since I usually skip breakfast anyways I figured it couldn't hurt to have something quick and easy to help keep me full until…

Funny thing is my Zumba class has been empty until just this week. Guess we're backwards. Luckily, I use the YMCA and we don't have contracts like that!
-
No, I like guys. Very pretty though.

I'm 5'5" and I currently weigh 150 and wear a size 8-10. I'm down from 180 and I was wearing a size 14-16. My goal weight is 130 and the real goal is just to get rid of the extra jiggle (I happen to think size 8-10 is a great size!).

My question is does it have a chest strap? I had one that was only the wristwatch and it was slightly higher since it only took the HR when I touched the sensor, my new one with the chest strap is more accurate and I go by what it says.

I have the same problem, that's why I goto the muscle pump classes. The instructors are actually the personal trainers at my gym, and they have no problem letting you know when you're not using enough weight!
-
I like my Zumba class and it's a must do, but I also love the Muscle Pump classes and Nina's RIP class is a must do, but I can only do her's every other week, she leaves me sore for days! PS Everyone saying lifting heavy makes you bulky, that isn't true. There's plenty of women who lift heavy and are not bulky at all!
- I do eat quite a lot late at night the night before though.
Obviously it doesn't have too bad of an effect on you though!

I'm really digging my rear end here lately, the squats and lunges have made it look awesome!
-
I do weight lifting and I have yet to bulk up, in fact the ladies who teach our muscle pump and RIP classes are decidedly un-bulky. They do have very nice shapes though, I push myself and do it along with cardio because I love me some Zumba. It takes a while to find the right amount of everything or even just exercise…

I have a membership to the Y, I do my Zumba classes and I've tried most of the other ones too. Each Y offers their own group fitness classes and I suggest trying all of them once (if possible) and deciding for yourself which ones you like and want to take. I have used the gym (wellness center) also, but I'm not much for…

Last Friday I did a muscle pump class and my muscles are still sore from the class. I did however get up and goto my Zumba and stretch classes which I promptly followed up with the 30DS. I'm sorry I didn't do the 30DS first though, I barely made it through since I was tired and still sore. Tomorrow I'll do the DVD first…

When I did it before I took the weekends off, I plan to do that this time too. I also do Zumba, but that's like . . . my love! There's nothing wrong with doing other exercise, but I would still make sure that you take a day or two and make sure that you have some time to rest (or some exercise that's not really stressful…

I drank that much today! I usually don't get that much on the weekends anymore, something new to shoot for.

My kids are all older, but a date is always appreciated. My family usually collaborates and everyone gives us one component of a date, gift card for restaurant, movie tickets, babysitting, etc. Without knowing their particular interests, that's about all I have.
-
I was doing the same thing, what's happened is my pants are getting a little more snug. Since I got rid of the bigger clothes I have no choice but to get back on track!
-
I wouldn't worry about weight yourself either, you look great!!
-
I can't add my name either, I have some things I need to do and I will try again this evening. It had an option for downloading the spreadsheet.

I'm sorry, when I said levels I meant following along with the modified/hardcore versions of the exercises. Each Level 1-3 is meant to be performed for 10 days and then you move up to the next one. I burned around 200-350 calories per workout, depending on how hard I worked. I always put it under cardio as 30DS, I had to…

I enjoy my weight lifting classes and wouldn't change them. I enjoy trying to hit the "failure" point, and our trainers push it.
-
My advice is try it for a day or two on the easier level, and work your way up to the advanced. You also may not get the exact same number of reps that they do, but keep trying. There's no shame in trying to adjust for your fitness level!!

Hey all, my name is Elisha. I'm a 32 yr old wife and mother of three. I've lost 30 lbs since Jan this year and I've been slacking off since then. I'm trying to get down to the rest of my goal (135 lbs). It's a little harder since my motivation kind of evaporated. I'm hoping to use this challenge to find the spark again!!
-
I'm in if it's not too late. I've done it once and could use the jump start to get my tail going again.
-
Buwahhahah.
-
I usually eat them back that day.
-
Everyone is different, what works for some won't work for all. Find what works for you and stick with it, change it up as needed but always it should be what works for you.
-
Your wife is not alone! I love that man and I know he's way older then me (born in 1940), but he's looking damned good for his age!
-
I didn't have the motivation for a long time and made an excuse every time I should have been working out. I finally told myself if it's not today, it's never. So unless there's a real reason (sick children, DR apptmnts, etc.) not to go, I go. It also helps that a lot of my friends at the YMCA look for me at the classes.…
