There is a difference between good and bad sugars, like fruit has good sugar in it. But, sugar still turns into fat, so even my doctor had recommended watching the sugars intake even in fruit.

Bananas are high in sugar, it's a better sugar for you but still be mindful when eating fruit that it will diminish your sugar quickly. Sugars turn to fat in the body which is why MFP most likely keeps the intake low.

I would get a new scale because I weigh on my digital scale then verify using my moms non digital scale and they are usually both within the same numbers.

When I was having bad stomach problems, couldn't eat without throwing up, let alone even the thought of food made me sick. The doctor put me on the B.R.A.T diet, basically bananas, rice (plain white) applesauce and toast. It's rough but it will help your stomach and maybe even your diet. Good luck, I know it sucks but at…

Just be careful of the carb intake from the vodka!

Thanks everyone!

It's not so much the food itself as it is the nutritional values, like carb type, sugar, fat etc. I guess the best thing we could all do is eat excessively healthy one day and then eat whatever the next (as long as we stay in our calorie allotments) and see what the weights say, then we would know for sure.

What is your start weight? I think it also has to do with the amount and types of exercise you do on that particular day. Because on some days I am told I will weight 197 in 5 weeks and others it says 202 in 5 weeks. And if I look at my exercise for those days, it's the only real big difference. And, I also think it has…

Not eating enough will put your body into starvation mode and you will actually gain weight. This is why it is recommended for people to eat at least 1200 calories a day. So it's possible that you're not eating enough.

I haven't tried them but I will warn that their grilled chicken ceasar salad is over 800 calories. Who would have thought one salad could be so damaging when all that's on it is grilled chicken lettuce and dressing.

Wonderful Job! What have you been doing to work on those areas? I have a similar problem.

I made a chick pea salad using one can chick peas (garbanzo beans), 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped cucumber, 1 chopped red pepper, 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, and 3 tablespoons olive oil. *I added a little bit of regular vinegar because the balsamic was a bit too strong for my taste. 1/4 cup is 52 calories according to…

The weight loss physician I have gotten information from says fruit is the good type of carbs you want to take in. My mother's diabetic specialist has warned about the amounts of sugar in fruits and to be cautious of them, especially bananas and grapes which are higher in sugars than most other fruits. I hope this helps.

It's typical menstrual cycle bloating. Don't stress, just wait it out and weigh in again after it's over. I tend to bloat a lot at the very beginning of mine or just prior to getting it. According to my scale just a few days ago I had gained back the 6 pounds I've lost since May, and today I was back to normal. Love the…

I only log the time I actually spend swimming as opposed tot he time im just floating or doing the doggy paddle playing with my nephew.

I get like this too. And for me it is especially hard once a month when all I want is chocolate and sweets. So I have found that if I keep things like Andes mints (4 = 100 cals) or the new newtons fruit thins (3 =140cals) in the house they satisfy my sweet tooth without ridiculous calories. And, if I want something more I…

I plan on rewarding my loss with new "teacher" clothes.

The turtle ones are good. I didn't care for the bar. Russel Stover has sugar free candies which are pretty good, but beware that three pieces is about 160 calories.

Yes, when I am still hungry Yes, I am losing, slowly but I am losing.

Thanks everyone. The breaks were just seconds long, enough to take a little pressure off my leg. Unfortunately I have broken a bone that can easily break again if too much strain is placed on it and add to that a small benign tumor that has grown on a nerve in my leg. If the tumor is removed it may cause nerve damage and…

I found out that one of my fav desserts is over 700 calories so I opted for sharing it instead of eating it alone. Saved half the calories.

There's always Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones which you pop in the microwave for a couple minutes.

I am on a 1310 calorie restriction. But, keep in mind that is with a calorie deficit which is calculated in to help you lose weight even without exercise. So, when you add in your exercise you will notice your remaining calorie count will increase. I have lost two pounds already. I work late so I tend to sleep through…

Welcome and congrats on the baby. MFP has actually been very beneficial to me because it helps me track things I never had time to track on my own. And, with others being able to see if I have gained or lost or stayed within my calorie range it's been helping me keep at it and be accountable. Feel free to add me if you…

Great job! I put up a pic from just after high school, which was 10 years ago. And I have a full body pic I took just about a week ago and I can't believe I am the same person.

Thanks!

Amazing! Good Job!

Congrats keep it up!

I have information from a weight loss doctor who has very successful results and it says first thing you should eat should be high in protein and to avoid cereals, bagels, biscuits, slim fast, fruits, donuts and peanut butter first thing. These foods have high amounts of carbs and sugars which turn into fat. Carbs first…
