McDonald's nuggets - crap. Chick-Fil-A nuggets - addictive. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), there are no Chick-Fil-A locations within reasonable driving distance of where I live. ;)

191 this week! I'll take it!

Up a pound and not amused. It's not because of what I ate - I guess I'm retaining water. Last week 193.5 This week 194.5

Also, I keep thinking about something I saw on Biggest Loser. They compared certain areas of the brain (corresponding to pleasure, I believe) in people who were overweight versus people who were (naturally) normal weight. The overweight people had a stronger reaction at the sight of enticing food but a LOWER reaction (than…

That seems like a sane approach. ETA - Oops, didn't get quoted. I was commenting on Kellyh01 and the tracking/gradual approach to getting calories down. OP - I have the same problem. I think that's the very nature of dieting. If you're too restrictive for long, you really want to get that enjoyment from food that you've…

Do I qualify as the active one? ;) I joined a few groups on here, which helps a bit. Also, there are a few threads of people looking for their "twin", where you can add people with similar size, goals and age.

I know that mine isn't as severe as some people have. But I definitely have the fatigue, sleep problems and a few achey spots that flare up. Just because you aren't completely debilitated doesn't mean it isn't real. You just have to learn what you can tolerate.

Yeah, my MIL (mid-60s) is much more energetic than me (and requires less sleep!). It's kind of depressing, but at least somebody has the energy for the kids! Unfortunately, she lives about 5,000 miles away.

Your #1 and 2 are biggies for me. I also just want to feel more comfortable rather than stressed about how I look all the time. My 20th reunion was last year. I lost 10 pounds, found a nice outfit and went even though I hadn't turned into what I'd hoped. It went fine. ;)

I'm going to take the lazy/paranoid way out and not post a new pic on a public forum. This was taken last August, when I was about 5-10 pounds lighter than I am right now.

Looks like I forgot to post here! I'm 39, mother of two young kids (7 & nearly 2). I live in Washington. I've been fluctuating between about 185-195 pounds since DD was born in 3/10. I'd really like to get down to a comfortable weight by summer, and I could make good headway on that by spring. I have two big problems: I…

Just now seeing this. On Monday, I was 193.5.

I'm not following any specific plan. That just doesn't work for me. I'm counting calories (about 1500/day) and trying to get in a little exercise. I'm also trying to cut back on sugar (my weakness) and eat more unprocessed food.

Hi, I'm Suzanne. I'm a 39 year old mother of two in Seattle, WA. Losing 50 pounds would put me right where I want to be (for now). I'm hoping this is my year to make it happen!

LOL! You say that as if people aren't apt to do it. For someone with sugar cravings, driving to the store is entirely within the realm of possibility. ;)

Hi all. I'm a 39 year old SAHM in Washington with two kids - DS nearly 7 years, and DD 21 months. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when DS was about a year old (2006). It's hard to say if I had it earlier, but the birth and the following sleep deprivation seemed to really kick it into gear. I've been overweight most of my…

Anne and I are neighbors - I'm in Lake Forest Park. WA, just north of Seattle. I grew up in Iowa and have also lived in FL, CA and IN. I do miss the Midwest at times and don't believe it to be just a good place to be FROM. ;) When we had to leave Indiana, I was hoping for Portland, because I really liked the little I'd…

I'm 39. Since graduating from high school (at which time I was 155 pounds), the lowest I've been was 135. It was short-lived. Even though I was lifting weights heavily at the time, I think I was still a bit flabby (i.e. not a low body fat percent). I can't imagine being lean and weighing any less than that. When I took up…

I'll pass. If I wanted to blow off the diet, I could think of much better recipes. ;)

Hi! I'm a SAHM mom of two. I don't get on the boards much (since I mostly use the iPod app), but I'd love to have more motivated buddies. I'd like to lose about 30-40 pounds - and if/when that happens, I'll re-evaluate!
