  • You're the one who introduced me to Pandora, Kal. <3 for that!
  • This, like 'starvation mode', seems to be in debate. Curious to see what people say about this too. Because I find that I feel like a slug if I don't work out every single day.
  • Oh! Me! This is what I do. I apologize for the lack of measurements, when I cook I 'guesstimate'. I choose lean flank steaks, and marinade them for about an hour in olive oil and italian seasonings. I also add a dash of pepper. I grill these on my George Foreman grill and they ROCK my socks off.
  • Epic. (this is an actual quote used by me in a private message today) "I'm in week two and I no longer crave sweets. This is an EPIC win for me."
  • I swear I have warm fuzzies knowing that there are other women out there who love Poe. She is so strong in her lyrics.
  • YES!!!! Thanks for posting this! :-D "Facetious" "I was being facetious when I said that I enjoyed your negative attitude."
  • I feel you, honey. I used to have this problem, too. It was honestly easier for me to stop smoking than it was for me to stop drinking soda. I had to ease into the transition. I started drinking diet sodas, which I didn't really care for but they got my through the cravings. After awhile, I transitioned to sparkling water.…
  • That is insane. No, seriously. Most of the time when I talk about her, people go,"What is a Poe?" -_-
  • Pandora! And in fact, I even listen to this while cleaning house. Right now I'm listening to my favorite artist, probably one a lot of people haven't heard of. Her name is Poe. That's my favorite for doing most things to. If I need something that cheers me up, I'll go to my Maroon 5 station.
  • I actually bought some bottled vitamin E oil from the health food store in my area. It smells like chocolate and cinnamon rolls. I'm not kidding. Sometimes, I will use it just to enjoy the smell, thus avoiding eating unhealthy snacks. It's not sticky either. It's comparable in texture to any massage oil and absorbs quickly.
  • Unfortunately, many women with children are no strangers to those vile little stretchmarks. It's been over two years since I had my daughter, and I can still see mine. Well, kinda. Here's the good news: Stretch marks will fade over time, or at least mine have. Mine are 'barely there' and are whitish in color compared to…
  • I juice fasted several years ago, and I can honestly say it was one of the most miserable experiences of my life. I still juice now, but I also eat (correctly). I love my juicer, but a straight juice and water fast drained me so badly.
  • I think everyone knows that person. You know the one. The one who can do zilch and look like a million bucks. In this case, that seems to be your sister. But while she's accepting all that praise for doing nothing, remember this: You've worked, and you've worked HARD to get where you are now. Can she really say the same…
  • This is cute. :) My husband seems to achieve that even after a long day of working outside. Me? I put my favorite essential oils in my brush with a dropper, and then use it. It works for me, and makes my hair shiny. :)
  • This made me giggle a little bit. I'm not at that phase yet, but I'm certain as time goes on, I will get there.
  • Holy crap. That has just given me SO much inspiration. You have no idea. You look AMAZING, and I bet you feel even better! Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this!
  • What Bork said. The pool is an awesome idea for people with ailing joints.
  • I have to say, I was being a bit sensitive earlier. I realize now that there was a more diplomatic way to say was I was feeling. I'm just as guilty of not thinking things through as I accused you guys of being in my earlier post.. >.< *sigh* Sorry. :(
  • We will get there. Just takes some time and know-how, I suppose.
  • I'm probably about to open a can of worms, but I'm sincerely not trying to here. I feel like little thought was put in to some of the comments in this thread. There are people on this website, myself for example, who have crap for a self esteem to begin with. Because I struggle with trying to reach my caloric intake each…
  • For me, it's completely relearning how to eat. No way that ramen, instant mac, and ice cream are good for what I'm dedicating myself to do here. So... if I'm having to learn how to fill myself with healthy calories, I don't get how that's NOT a difficult thing to do.
  • Wow?
  • I'm glad you're here, Kal. :) Having you here is going to motivate me that much more. Besides, i remember what me and you were like before we had kids.. ;)
  • It's never too late. :) I'm willing to bet that's what's going on.

  • I think it was probably unintentional, too. Give it to the kids at church! There's no sense in throwing it away. :) If it were me, I'd probably take a single, tiny bite, just to say I enjoyed her gift, and then give the rest away.
  • Same here. I remember rolling my eyes the first time I saw previews... but I can't help but like her right now. She's so honest and transparent about what she's let herself come to that it inspires me. Edited to add - Even if she does seem a little crazy. haha
  • Weigh in 3/29/2010 - 180lbs :)
  • Are you taking measurements too? I'd say there's a good chance that you're gaining MUSCLE! :)

  • Thank you for the information! I feel like a dunce this week. I'm learning so much that I never knew about eating right and being fit. I should change my avatar photo to a dunce hat.
  • Water > Tea > Soda I think soda is probably the caffeinated beverage people should be MOST concerned about. There's so much sugar and sodium in soda. I don't imagine tea is too bad, especially if it's green tea or herbal.
