I find the best way is to try and correct anything before anyone realises, and/or 'fess up before anyone says anything. That way I've not got anyone feeling smug because I've displayed the fact that I'm only human! If someone feels they can look down on you for making a mistake, then it must be wonderful to have been so…

Hello from Colwyn Bay :)

We're also now looking for a venue to host our launch party if anyone knows of anywhere (local!) that would allow us the use of a room for a weekday evening at the beginning of April?

I've ended up with mouldy fruit and veg from ASDA. Some of it was mouldy on the shelf!! We tend to buy from Tescos now as the quality of their fresh veg has really improved over the last few years, and I buy frozen veg from ASDA because it's cheaper :) However, we're growing our own now providing the summer is better than…

Slimming World says that spirits such as Vodka/Gin and diet mixer are the lowest "Syn" wise. Just make sure you drink water to ensure you don't dehydrate and have a good time

You can also buy psyllium husk capsules for added fibre, but you have to make sure you are drinking enough water. To keep more "regular" you really should be upping your fruit n veg quota, exercising, and you could also try having something like weetabix for breakfast. One thing that does tend to make you "go" though is…

For sweet treats I like making sugar free jelly with diet lemonade and putting fruit such as raspberries in there while it sets. Also, an options hot choc or a mullerlight when I don't fancy jelly. Make your own stir fries using veg, dried noodles and simply using garlic, ginger, soy sauce etc to add flavour. Soups, make…

Education is the key. You need to explain to them/print something off that shows/tells them exactly what will happen to you if you eat these items. I'd also perhaps ask to see a dietician and get them to work out an eating plan for you, that way you've got "back up" and you're doing it correctly. They're only worried that…

I don't suppose it's any different to Jason Vale's Juice Master type diet really, except you're having a meal in the evening. And it all depends what you're putting through the juicer.

For the soup?! There are 5 main ingredients, you don't have to use oil for frying it off so that's extra, chilli is extra and then seasoning isn't really an ingredient!

Thai style sweetcorn soup. 202 calories a portion, very filling and blasts out any cold you might've had! I used fry light instead of the oil to fry the bits off so that could possibly reduce calories further. Takes 10 mins to make. Here's the recipe, but it was originally in the low fat, low cholesterol cook book…

I love pizza too... and apparently, frying stuff in batter isn't actually as unhealthy as it's made out. Providing you don't eat the batter, the stuff inside is still pretty much as it should be as it was protected by the batter coating. I'll still to grilling my stuff though lol I love pizza!

We had this lengthy discussion when the British teen who ate mostly chicken nuggets story was put on here. We don't know what methods the parents adopted (if any) to get her to eat anything else. Or, as it's a psychological issue, whether they could get her to eat anything else. Perhaps they took her to doctors and they…

You should read the article then...

Ah, but is Lent really a Christian tradition? The answer, like all their holidays, is no  "Lent" or 40 days of fasting before the resurrection, was being practised by the Babylonians before "Jesus" was supposed to be around. And I say supposed to be around, because the early Christian leaders decided to placate the…

I'm giving up pancakes  That's the whole point of Pancake Day innit, gorge yourself on pancakes and then not eat them again for 40 days? (I'm only kidding people! I know about Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday etc I also know http://www.cogwriter.com/lent.htm)

I'd at least have veg on the pizza to get my 5 a day

Just get back on it again. You can't do anything about it so why dwell on it? If I'm in the mood and know I can easily do it, I'll adjust calories, if not then I won't! Just be realistic with yourself.

I use my phone for the music and the time, the little keyfob thingy the gym gives you records all the details of your sets/reps/calories etc so no need for an app.

Nay for me. I don't tan anyway-just burn- as I have fair skin (dark hair but blue eyes, and freckles). I only have to go out to hang the washing out and I've got red marks where I've caught the sun :frown:

Mine came out at around 1900 and MFP has set my calorie whatsit to 1200 so I don't really need to do much adjusting.
