Work, the kids, what my day is going to be like, what all I have to do ... my morning runs are usually my "reflect, think, plan, organize" time. That way when I'm done and at my desk, i'm already ready to work!

I just realized you're in the UK. Are you talking miles per hour or km per hour?

I'm a very very impatient, hurricane-ish person too. But 3.6 is my "fast walk" speed and 6.0 is my regular running speed and I get up to 6.8 when I'm doing speed intervals.

Are you freakishly tall with giraffe legs or something? lol 6.0 is almost a spring for me, at 5'2".

I ordered the Polar FT4 on amazon just last week for $63.03 with no shipping charge. I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival.

I will be until 7/31 when my subscription runs out. MFP is working much much better for me. However, I do have Lifetime status with WW. So once I"m back to within 2lbs of goal weight (13 pds to go!), I can go to meetings for free. So, I will probably still attend 1-2 meetings a month. I truly enjoy the meetings, but the…

This has probably been asked but how the heck do you do it? -- You just do it. Make it a priority and a habit. How long until you felt GOOD about getting up to workout? (when did it become a habit?) -- it didn't start feeling good until I was doing it EVERY weekday. 2-3x a week doesn't work - the sleeping later days in…

That's hilarious. Because my OCD goes into hyper-drive if I DON'T plan things.

Plan plan plan ... with edits as I go if it changes. This allows me to KNOW how much I"m eating before I do it. Where I need to cut back. Where I can add. How much wine I can drink ...

I don't do well with ambiguity. Routine is my saviour. So, I do have a workout routine. My "usual" is running 4.5ish miles on MWF and doing strength training TR, and Zumba on Sat. However, I shake it up everyone once in a while (in a "planned" manner). When I have an day off I might sub a zumba class for a run. Or I'll do…

planning, planning, planning. Did I mention planning? Planning is what helped me go from 226 pounds to 137 pounds (4 years ago). It's what's helping me get BACK there now ...

A low-carb, ww tortilla, a smear of spicy ff refried beans, 1/4c of cooked soyrizo, 1/4 of scrambed Egg Beaters, and some salsa verde. Wonderful protein filled breakfast burrito.

*smooches* to you KK!

I lost 90 pounds by planning my meals in advance and logging them before I ate. I would, of course, be honest and make any adjustments throughou the day if my plan changed. But by planning ahead, I *knew* what I was eating, what I could add, where I needed to cut back, etc. It really really worked for me.

pork tenderloin fish turkey sausage (italian, breakfast, brats, etc) beans lean beef ham buffalo Really, chicken and veggies are just one of 1000 foods that can be eaten on a regular basis and still lose weight.

For many, especially those just starting out, having completee the diary AT ALL, no matter how "bad" the contents, is an accomplishment. The accountability and being aware of what one ate is truly the first step in this process. WTGs can be very appropriate in those instances.

Monster, taking it literally helps me. I lose more, and more consistently, when I have 80-100 ounces of WATER per day. If I drop below that for more than a day or two, I see an immediate slowing of weight loss.

I drink 80-120 oz of water a day. On top of 4-5 Diet Pepsis. After a while your body adjusts ...

I love to "judge" other poeople's shopping carts. I'm usually pretty arrogant about it, lol. Like to (quietly, inwardly) sneer at the folks wtih a cart full of soda, chips, boxed dinners, hot dogs, ice cream, etc. My cart is usually 50% fresh produce, milk, eggs, ww bread, lean proteins ... with the occasional mac n cheese…
