  • I lost 89 pounds ... pretty much never eating before workouts. No one else can tell you what will be right for you. You'll have to experiment and see what happens.
  • Your Daily Summary 230Calories Remaining Goal Food Exercise = Net 1400 1759 - 589 1170
  • I don't microwave them, but I can fry an egg in about 2 minutes, and scramble them in about 5. I don't find the microwave a big time saver.
  • yes. It isn't hard, at all, to eat 1200 calories.
  • Quinoa and couscous are NOT the same thing. Couscous is a pasta; quinoa is a seed. There are many preparations, however, in which they can be used interchangeably.
  • First of all, I usually treat couscous like I would rice. So I might have a stuffed chicken breast and couscous, but pour the sauce from the chicken on the couscous. And I almost always cook it with broth or bullion instead of water. You can also treat it just like a rice pilaf - add carrots, onions, celery, etc. But, for…
  • I fry eggs all the time ... with just a bit of evoo spray in the pan. Cook it over lowish heat. Adds virtually no calories to the egg. You can also poach. Or you can whip the egg well and pour into a sprayed pan and just let it cook until done (omelet/frittata style). You'd get the flavor or scrambled eggs without the mess.
  • As long as you're not overeating in a major way .... yes. Many people are successful walking to lose weight.
  • I pass quite easily with my left butt cheek. My right it stays for a few seconds then falls. I'm 41 and 20ish pounds overweight.
  • There is no "best shoe" there is only "best shoe for you". I wear Brooks Adrenaline GTS. Next time I get shoes (this is like my 6th pair of Brooks) I'll probably get refitted to make sure that's still the shoe I need.
  • I only weigh it before. But then I enter it as "raw" in the tracker so the calorie counts are correct. It doesn't really matter as long as how you weigh it is how you enter it. I weight it raw, becasue often my meat is mixed with other ingredients afterwards and it would be 1) messy to weigh after cooking, 2) impossible to…
  • If you make your diary public, we'd be more able to give you some advice. Are you eating your exercise calories? You probablly should be. And how much do you have to lose? You have may have your weekly goal set too high.
  • 6:30? That's sleeping in for me, lol. My alarm rings at 5:05 M-F.
  • Do it everyday. I used to get up at 5:30/5:45 on MWF. It was soooo hard to get up after not doing it on T and Th. But then I started doing it everday (weekdays, M-F) and it is soo much easier.
  • Tomatoes (quartered, or smaller) Cubed cucumbers feta cheese balsamic vinegar easy. simple. delicious.
  • Two potato and beet hash with poach egg. And Brown sugar ham steak. and cantaloupe. http://www.cookinglight.com/food/recipe-finder/cooking-light-best-recipes-2010-00400000062166/page22.html - but we're not doing the greens/salad. It's delish.
  • Not only that, but most "skinny" alcoholic beverages - be they skinny wine, light beer or light rums, etc - are a lower alcohol content. So, if you look at the calories on a basis of the amount of alcohol consumed, the lights don't do much for you. From my quick research, I've found that Skinny Girl wines have a 12% ABV.…
  • Almost my exact story. Did WW for 16 months, lost 90 pounds, hit goal. Maintained for a while, but then gained 15-20 back. Started working the WW plan again, but it had changed so much it didn't work for me anymore. changed to MFP. when I work the MFP plan, I lose. I have 12 more to go to get back to goal.
  • Skinny Girl is not real wine. And adding sprite? That's blasphemous to wine drinkers!
  • As I was losing my weight initially (90 pounds), alcohol didn't really inhibit my loss, as long as I accounted for it. Now that I've regained 20 (and currently have 12 of that left to lose again), I do find alcohol doesn't fit into my plan as well. My method now is to go 2 days or so withotu a drink, then have 3-4 days…
  • In the OP's defense ... fried zuchini done with just the spray, or a very minute amount of oil, or broiled or baked ... IS NOT THE SAME! LOL I don't each fried zucchini much anymore (once a year maybe?) and usually eat my zucchini (and other veggies) raw, steamed or grilled. But doing so is NOT A SUBSTITUTE for fried…
  • I have. And hated every minute of it. It made me want to not run. Totally counterproductive. However, I know of more than a handful of people who really thrive in the heat and run in it all summer.
  • Measure the oil as you put it in the pan. Then when you're done, measure what's left. The difference is how much your zucchini soaked up and thus, you consumed.
  • Tenoreo, where are you? I'm in Stillwater. I'm not running right now, partially due to the heat, but mostly due to a foot injury. That said, last year (remember? Taht hottest summer ever? ACK!) I did the vast majority of my running on the Dreadmill. I usually run at 5:30am, but even at that time, it was 80 most mornings.…
  • I add sliced red bell pepper. then dress it with Newman's Own Light (or is it Low-Fat?) Sesame Ginger dressing. Then I top it with a handful of wasabi peas for crunch. If I have leftover grilled chicken or pork, I might cube that and add to it.
  • You are eating way under your calories. You are eating very few fresh fruits and vegetables. You are eating a lot of processed crap. Where is the real food? and where is the exercise?
  • You'll never FIND the time. You have to MAKE the time. I get up at 5:05 M-F and am at the gym by 5:25. On weekends, I do Zumba at 8:30 on Sat and sometimes pick up anothe rworkout on Sunday.
  • No, I do the meal planning, grocery shopping and cooking.
