  • It appears you're not eating your workout calories. You could be eating too little.
  • Okay now - no flames, lol. I gained 22 pounds with my daughter.(she weighed 7lbs 7 1/2 oz) I was at pre-pregnancy weight a week after she was born. I gained 7 pounds with my son. (he weight 7 lbs 7 oz). I was 10 pounds below pre-pregnancy weight the day after he was born.
  • It didn't CHANGE my personality, but it brought out some of my more "hidden" characteristics. I am more confident and, according to one friend, carry myself differently. I don't think I'm happier because I lost weight; I think I was able to lose weight becasue I was happier.
  • How far away is your gym?
  • I turn out the light about 10:30-11pm most nights.
  • My alarm goes off at 5:05am M-F.
  • *applause*
  • Zumba followed very closely by running
  • I'd give my left tit for 18 pounds in 13 weeks. Seriously. Anything between .5 and 2 lbs per week is a GREAT loss.
  • There are more trainers out there ... your gym should, at the least, have staff available at no charge to show you how to use the equipment.
  • The research I've read accounts for active "dieting" or counting calories. It helps your metabolism work better, and tends to keep people from overating at lunch. It has definitely been true for me and has been a key factor in my weight loss. But, like I originally said, it isn't true for everyone. EAch person has to find…
  • Processed, packaged foods - like you had for bfast - are notoriously high in calories, fat and sodium. You can make something just as hearty and filling and tasty for much less calories. I don't advise skipping breakfast. Research shows that people who eat a good breakfast lose weight faster and keep it off more…
  • This may work for the poster, but it isn't necessary for everyone. I drink alcohol (quite often), eat lots of cheese, etc. And I still lose well. If you want to go that extreme, and it works ... power to ya. But it isn't necessary for everyone. Or desireable.
  • My diary is open if you'd like to look at it. I had a really good week and lost 2 pounds, so this week is a good week for people to peek!
  • My net goal is 1420 right now and I don't find it a problem. I rarely feel hungry. My total intake for each day is about 1700, with the added exercise calories. I've been a little (100or so) under every day this week, and I had fries, wine, and ice cream. The key for me is planning ...
  • Almost every night.
  • I count most of them. But if I throw a handful of lettuce on my sandwich, or add 1/2 a carrot to my salad I might not count them. I pay more attention to fruits, because they are higher in calories and sugar. If 10-30 calories a day are affecting my weight loss, fruits and veggies aren't my problem, lol. So I don't freak…
  • I use the a gps app to determine the actual distance walked, and then enter that at a 3.0mph pace. But I don't do that unless it's extreme ... like 4-5 hours.

  • My BFF uses this ... but her normal job is an office job, so she has that setting in her quiz/profile. But, she has a part-time job 2-3 nights a week working at Panera. So not only is she standing, but she's walking almost all night (back and forth). So she enters it as standing. It's really part of her basic setting, but…

  • My xh and his coworkers called it Vampire Leave. They leave at 11, go give blood, then go to the bar and drink. I often had to drive him home, lol.
  • Get and wear an HRM. Much more accruate than the machines and MFP.
  • My "usual" run is 4.35 miles/7k.

  • Ifyou follow a good training plan, you should be able to do a half by then. I think you'd be pushing yourself too much to try a full. Look at some Hal Higdon training plans.
  • I was so freakin' glad when it was Robin not StripperGirl. As soon as Marshall said the bride wanted to see Ted, I knew it HAD to be Robin. And I'm so glad to see Victoria back. I hope hope hope hope she has a yellow umbrella ...
  • The bullying isn't what prevented this from being an intelligent conversation ...
  • You know the old definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? apply that here. Change up what (and maybe when and how much) you eat. See what happens.
  • Just do it. Go out and run, and when you're body tells you to stop ... stop and walk. Keep cycling if you need to and eventually you'll increase your distance to being able to run it all (if you want to). Basically that's what C25K is.
  • If you're eating enough pizza to get fat from the lining, or microwaving enough food in plastic containers that you're going to get fat or sick ... then the BPA isn't really the problem ...
  • As others have said, the best time is individual to each person - when you can do it and stick to it. For me, that is early morning. My alarm goes off at 5am M-F. I am - by no means - a morning person. It was very difficult at first, but now it's so routine that it's not a big deal at all. And, I've found it is…
  • Here is my dinner plan for this week. And feel free to look at my diary to see my breakfast, snacks and lunches. (Note: I've been off the wagon for a week or two ... lol) Sun: bacon-wrapped pork loin, grilled asparagus, rice Mon: egg drop soup w/asparagus, pork potstickers, rice Tues: Yucatan baked chicken, diablo corn…
