I don't use mine to replace charcoal grilling. Not nearly as tasty. However, I do use it to replace pan-frying. I do: fish turkey burgers chicken burgers

I take good firm fish fillets (cod, mahi mahi -- NOT NOT NOT tilapia) and douse them with Zatarain's blackened seasoning. Then I grill them. I serve them in warm corn tortillas (often on the grill). Cabbage is a must for the topping. Tomato is good too, as is avocado. I can get a really good Southwest Tartar sauce from my…

I got my Polar FT4 on Amazon for $63 about a month ago.

however, I had an AWFUL wisdom-teeth-removal experience. I didn't eat anything except malts and applesauce for about 4-5 days. And very very little of those. I probably lost 5 pounds!

I wouldn't know if she was or wasn't by just looking at her ... but if she looked it (and 5'8" and 125 would probably look it to me), my immediate thought (because I'm the mom of a teen) would be that she might be. As a stranger, I'd leave it there. However, with my own kid - or a kid I know well (like my kid's friends) -…

As the mother of a teenager, I'd be concerned she was underweight.

guilty as charged for these. Although I wouldn't say #8 is *constantly*, and I wouldn't do #5 on a regular basis, but every once in a while.

Vacation? What's that?

If the intent of the activity isn't exercise, I don't log it.

My times are better when I do a modifed Galloway method. I take a couple walk breaks for a 5K. The two times I did a 5k without walk breaks, my times were worse.

You're contradicting yourself. you ARE losing weight. 11 pounds in less than 7 weeks? That's excellent!

As a female, I almost alwasy come in right in the middle of the pack when running a 5K race. ie. out of 200 entries, I'll be number 92. My time for a 5K is at/around the 30 min mark. You can probably find race results online and look at that times for the middle of the pack people.

I have over 50 cookbooks ... and a recipe index that's 1000+ and still growing.

Sounds like you might need a "cushier" shoe. Good socks will help the balls of the feet. A wider toe box could help the balls of the feet thing too. And make sure your laces aren't tied too tight. That all said, I'd go to a good athletic store to get fitted.

Call the gyms that offer it. IME, most gyms will allow non-members to attend classes on a per-class fee. My gym offers Zumba and other aerobics classes to non-members for $6 per class, or a reduced rate with a 10-visit punchcard.

Go to a good running store and get fitted. It's really not a decision you should make on your own.

You really don't need oil for a good salsa. And REAL salsa is raw, never cooked. ;)

Get a HRM. It's still technically an estimate, but it's based on enough factors that it's fairly accurate. I suggest the Polar FT4. Inexpensive, but has good features.

not a guy, but both of my husbands (ex and current) had vasectomies. Both reported very little pain at the time of/immediately following surgery. Both had no complications. Both had more pain the next day than the day of, but very manageable plain. Off work one day (Friday, day of surgery) and back to work on Monday. XH…

It could be your shoes and/or socks. What specifically hurts? Balls of the feet? Ankles? toes? arches? It's hard to give much advice without some more specifics.
