To me, a binge has to be 1) mindless to begin with, 2) BIG consumption, and 3) at the end you KNOW you should be doing it. Basically when you feel you don't have any control. An extra piece of cake? No. A whole bag of chips? Yes 6 cookies instead of 3? probably not

I have a min goal of 80 oz. I sometimes drink up to 120. That is all just pure water. I usually drink 40 oz before I leave for work (while I workout), then another 20-40oz at the office, and another 20 with dinner.

Just got a Polar FT4 and love it. Got it from amazon for $63.03

Yes. Absolutely. But it's worth it. And it's just as hard, if not harder, to maintain than to lose.

The best exercise routing is the one you'll stick to.

Wandering is good for my runs. If I focus on my run, I'm counting steps and looking at my time/pace, watching my HR, and then I start paying attnetion to how tired I am and my muscles hurt and how I'm bored ... and I want to quit too soon. Instead, I either listen to good music (90% of the time) or an audiobook. when it's…

It gets easier. don't think that MWF or something would be easier. Doing it EVERY WEEKDAY at the same time makes it easier. Lay your clothes/gear out the night before. Get a good night's sleep.

I just got my Polar FT4 yesterday. I used it already today. It was very easy to get started.

Your friend is a twit.

And this is the correct contextual meaning of the phrase "muscle weighs more than fat" because most of the time we're discussing fitness results --- such as how someone can be working out and losing inches but gaining weight.
-
I either run outside or go to my gym. The types of exercise I like to do I can't do successfully at home. My gym isn't *fancy* but it isn't bare bones either. I do Zumba, boot camp, weights, and cardio machines there.

doesn't help here. It's been 75-80 at 5:30 am!

I enjoy running outside much much more. I emotionally and physically feel better after an outside run. However, I'm faster on the dreadmill. I've been dreadmilling it since early June because it's too hot here to run outside. I'm so so so ready to run outside again. But it looks like that may be September ... Grrrrrr!

Do you think I'm stressed???

Ehh, I lost 89 pounds and worked out regularly. I've lost 10 in the last 7 weeks while working out not only regularly, but more so than usual.
-
Today I've had 60oz of water. I'll have at least one more 20oz bottle, probably 2, during boot camp tonight. I generally drink 80-120 oz a day.

1) You really don't have any right to tell me not to comment. It's a free world. We're both adults. 2) There is a big gray area between "being your friend" and being rude. I was in that gray area. I spoke with concern and wasn't even close to rude. 3) I agree that 1200 is fine for someone trying to lose weight. In general.…

Just be careful. 5'6" and 112 is a BMI of 18.1 which is in the "underweight" category and below the "healthy weight" category.

1) 2 weeks of loss isn't "steady" 2) 1 week fo gain isn't a plateau 3) you've still lost 5 lbs in 2-3 weeks? You're doing well. 4) I'd give it another week before changing anything. the 1 lb could be a fluctuation. It could be temporary. That all said, if you do find that you are truly gaining ... are you eating enough?…

Easily. I trained for my first in 12 weeks. (I was already running 3-5 miles on a regular basis)

personally, I'm annoyed by the frequent assumption that if one drinks diet soda one drinks no or inadequate amounts of water. While I'm sure that's true for some, it's not a safe/accurate/fair assumption.

I"m sure they're not good for you. But I don't care. I refuse to give up my Diet Pepsi habit. I drink a lot of it. And yet I managed to lose 90 pounds and be very healthy and fit. However, I also drink 80-120 ounces of pure water everyday. I figure that partially balances out the bad parts fo the DP.

Until my HRM arrives (sitting on a shipping dock in Dallas right now), I've been entering it as "Aerobics, step, with 6-8 inch step " because I think it gets close to the calories. I've been estimating 550 calories for me for an hour of Zumba. But I'm really anxious to see what the HRM tells me.
