Try to eat within 30 minutes of your workout, or you'll lose 25% of it. Eat back your exercise calories, mostly protein. (I'm guessing you already do that) Try squatting with 50+ lb weights, my brother does that and I heard it's great for getting ripped. I'll add you :)

Chris said it all. I think starvation mode is only applied when you're eating nothing at all. Think of it as if you're stranded on an island. You'll start to lose weight rapidly. However, when you lose most of your body fat, that's when your body starts retaining it, and you will die. Yep.

I turned on the radio and starships by nicki minaj was on. Even though I don't like rap/pop/mainstream music, the one line "starships were meant to fly" is stuck in my head. Sigh.

If you really wanted to lose weight, like REALLY wanted to, then you wouldn't have given up. I guess weight loss isn't for some people, at least you tried. Hopefully in the near future you'll have another go at it! :) Good luck!

Hm, I would recommend doing them before because not only does it make your muscles stronger so you can run, but it serves as a great warm up! Though you can do them after if you'd like too, more power to you :)

I completely agree! It's a lesson to children and it teaches them to do the right thing. I was spanked multiple times as a child due to misbehaving. Same thing with exercise, pain is gain!
