  • I worked out even though I really REALLY didnt feel like it
  • Too many to list but my biggies are: Wine Cheese Bread and butter Ice cream Potato chips Pizza Pate I still eat and drink all of the above but in moderation and fit them into my daily cal limit. Ive tried the 'cut out everything considered bad for you' diet and it didnt work for me, life and living got in the way so im a…
  • Im south indian, born in Bangalore but grew up in the UK. My husband is Danish, we have been together for just over 5 years and got married in the UK in July. Its great being part of a mixed couple and sharing cultures etc! Foodwise I cook a lot of indian food at home, when I first met Anders he couldnt handle spicy food…
  • Ive stopped and started several times, for me I always think to myself ive really increased my fitness level and have dropped inches (actually 14lbs but the inches are more important) so it would be so gutting to get back to whete I was a year ago. At the end of the day, you can keep making excuses or you can get back on…
  • Lounging on the sofa with a pot of tea watching a good movie! Also going out dancing with my friends!
  • I enjoy cardio, I enjoy weights. My body is changing for the better and I feel fitter and healthier than ive ever done in my life. I dont do what I do based on reading magazines, I do it because ive found it works for me. All exercises have their place, one isnt better than the other, it just depends what works FOR YOU.
  • Its 2 years today since I lost my Mum to stomach cancer. We were incredibly close, I miss her so much my stomach hurts.
  • Lol love this. But seriously, if it was me I would eat a regular dinner then move on, tomorrow is another day and its no big deat to eat over your cal limit once in a while.
  • Running including interval training Spinning Circuits Weights Walking on my 'rest' days Seing great results
  • I dont diet, I eat everything in moderation and try to do some exercise most days. When I have a day when I eat a lot and dont exercise, I make sure I eat better the following day, drink more water and have a good sweaty workout. As long as I know that my good days are more than my bad days im happy. And there is certainly…
  • This. Tomorrow will be 2 years since I lost my Mum to stomach cancer. We were very close. I wanted to die when my mum passed, I couldnt imagine my life without her, she wouldnt see me get married or have children, we wouldnt have 2 hour telephone conversations anymore, we wouldnt go shopping together... But now, im…
  • I eat things like cereal for breakfast, deli meats, tinned fish, sometimes sausages and pate but I cant remember the last time I ate a ready meal. I live in Uganda (East Africa) so we dont get much processed food here, I would say we make 90% of our own food including bread, ice cream, juices, cakes (not for me, I dont…
  • Totallyagree with this, its all about a healthy balance and living life is more important than obsessing over how many cals are in a breadstick. Dont get me wrong, im a bit obsessed with logging, but I had a bad day yesterday and didnt log - whats the point, I knew I was over - and for me I dont ever want to go back to…
  • Life is waaay too short to hollow out a bagel, eat half and if you still feel guilty then burn a few more cals at the gym. I have no problems fitting bagel into my daily cal limit without the guilt.
  • I gave someone a chunk of money from my late Mums estate, money she really really needed. My Mum was also helping her before she ( my Mum) passed away in November 2010. But I dont know anyone who did as many selfless things for other people as my Mum, too many to mention. Sometimes we used to fight about it, I would call…
  • Exactly my sentiments. Everything in moderation is a sensible and sustainable approach. If its the difference between losing 8lb or 4lb a month then to me its worth it because I love food, I love cooking and I love entertaining so if I want what some would call a "cheat meal" I will have it and there would be completely no…
  • This sounds amazing!!
  • Get a heart rate monitor, I was shocked at how much MFP over estimates cals burned compared to what my HRM says. Its the only way you can get a relatively accurate count.
  • Soak it in milk at room temperature for an hr or so before cooking, it mellows the flavour and gives it a lovely soft texture when cooked. Then pat dry, season with salt and lots of cracked black pepper then fry with onions. Its delicious on toast!
  • Insects, whisky and hot milk Thats basically it, I eat and drink everything else. Im confident I can still find something to chow down in the most extreme environments!
  • I was small to begin with but now they are non existent, they have completely disappeared. Most of the time it doesnt bother me because everything else looks so much better, but now and again it gets me down and I feel like less of a woman with such a flat chest. I would definitely have a boob job and my husband supports…
  • Pee Put the kettle on for my morning tea Say a big sloppy Hi to my 2 beautiful dogs
  • I weigh in on Friday morning, every wk as soon as I get up before breakfast, I usually take my day off either sat or sun, so I weigh in before my 'cheat day'. Incidentally, I prefer to call it a 'free day' because I dont think im cheating by relaxing my cals 1 daya week. In my opinion calling it a cheat day contributes to…
  • For me, I dont consider it falling off the wagon. I allow myself 1 free day a week where I can eat and drink whatever I want and I dont log. I look at this journey as a long term thing, not on a day to day basis so I figure that if im strict and exercise regularly most of the time then im happy with that. Also, for me I…
  • 4.5 years, he proposed this year in Jan and we got married 3 months ago in July. I would say dont rush into things, when the time is right it will happen.
  • Dont look at this journey as a diet, and dont stop eating certain foods because you think they are bad for you. Eat whatever you want in moderation and fit it into your daily cal allowance. And most importantly, when you fall off the wagon get straight back up again, dont see it as an excuse to eat badly for the remaining…
  • We had a springer spaniel who used to eat everything, he especially loved jay cloths, table corners, sanitary pads and tampons, the heels off high heel shoes and - the best one - the gusset from worn panties. One christmas he ate 3 family size boxes of chocolates which we stupidly left under the tree, paper, wrappers and…
  • THIS IS THE BEST THREAD EVER!!!! Thanks for making my day! Ps: that poor baked potato lol
  • Im inbetween Canada and Ireland! My ideal weight would be inbetween the Comoros and Haiti (135 lbs)
  • I just finished day 1 of month 2, its so much harder than month 1 so be warned! As for logging, I wear a HRM and log each workout separately as you can go into mfp and add new exercises. If you dont wear a HRM I would strongly suggest you invest in one as the calz in the mfp database are really high, plus its good to be as…
